The "World Biographical Dictionary" is an original work that presents the entire history, Greek and global, of the arts, literature, and sciences through the lives and works of the protagonists of historical events and creators of human civilization. Historical figures, great writers, artists, and scientists, both Greek and foreign, from antiquity to the present day, are presented with documented biographies, allowing the reader to responsibly learn about their work and contributions. Special attention has been given to modern Greece in order to include the most important Greek personalities in literature, arts, politics, and sciences, making the "World Biographical Dictionary" the unique source of information for Greek readers and researchers. A dedicated team of approximately 200 academics, university professors, and specialist scientists worked for many years to realize this edition, in a rare collaboration for Greek publishing, involving such a large number of intellectual personalities. The authors of the biographies - entirely original - are distinguished Greeks, and in some cases, foreign experts, specialized in each subject.
