I bought it based on the reviews for its resistance to strong winds and because it has pockets on the side to fill them with sand or stones.
At 5 Beaufort, you don't feel anything. In continuous gusts of 8 to 9 Beaufort, it moved the bags forward and folded them with the back. Two large stones on the right and left at the entrance solved the problem, without using pegs!!
Very stable and sturdy frame!
The only thing that worried me a little is that I noticed some signs of wear on the sand bags from the first day.
We'll see how it holds up in terms of durability...
I agree with all the comments and through them I understood how it opens (you pull the strings with force and it sets up by itself) but I struggled to understand how it closes! So, if I can help someone, the way it closes is:
1) We unclip the 4 clips that are sewn on the roof fabric and hook onto the frame. They are small and black.
2) We pull the two round connectors in the center of the frame in the opposite direction to separate them. The first time it may seem difficult and requires a lot of force, you might think they don't unhook and it's all one piece. It's not, there are two parts and one folds up like an umbrella and the other folds down like an umbrella, during the closing.
And you fold it like an umbrella inside its case.
It also needs dusting/washing from the sand that can stick on it, which I think is reasonable.
Overall, for me as a first-time tent user, this purchase is worth it.
I have it for a year, very convenient, it cuts the ultraviolet rays, it has screens for the air to pass through the sides, the air does not get in, easy to set up, pack up.
Good in size, takes 30 seconds to set up and 2-3 minutes to pack up. You can slightly tilt it sideways towards the sun (it has side flaps for more shade) and the sun won't bother you anymore. It withstands strong winds...in moderate winds where umbrellas sway a lot, this one doesn't move at all. If it's quite windy, you can quickly put sandbags around it, and if it's a storm with a force of 8, you fill the bags with sand and that's it. The only downside for me is that it should have a rug sewn in front of the tent so that you don't come into contact with the sand, but I use a mat...okay
Very easy to set up and take down in less than a minute. It withstands the wind and I haven't needed the pegs even though it has been quite windy. Honest for its price.
P.S. When taking it down, you need to unhook the 4 hooks on the frame, it takes less than 2 minutes to pack it up.
Awesome construction, it easily withstands even 5 Beaufort winds, you can support it with stones on the sides or with the included ropes. In less windy conditions or sheltered beaches, it stands without support. You can sleep comfortably, it is well-ventilated from the side windows and the front. Comfortable for up to two people. It can fit bags, clothes, and a beach cooler. It can be set up and taken down in two minutes. Extremely lightweight for transportation, even on a bicycle. The best thing! I recommend it
It's worth its money and more.
The first time will be difficult for you as you have to open its legs and then, as someone mentioned below, lift the two ropes that are parallel on the ground until the two black round components are fastened.
As for closing, this is done by pushing in the opposite direction the two components (up - down), BUT be careful, you must have unfastened the two plastic straps on the front side of the tent, otherwise it will not close.
The tent will only give you a hard time the first time you open and close it. To open it, pull the two ropes horizontally, opening your hands to the side. To close it, you need to separate the two round parts of the mechanism, the top and bottom that were connected when opening. It requires quite a bit of strength the first time, but it gets easier afterwards.
I have really been amazed by how easy it is to set up/take down. AMAZING!!!! It lasted the whole summer with ease. VMF++++
With full filling in the 4 bags, you really have nothing to worry about! It simply doesn't move, no matter how much wind there is!
I would buy it again, again and again and again and again and again!!!!
This tent is possibly the best purchase I have made for products of this kind. It sets up very easily, it is very convenient, spacious, comfortable, overall I highly recommend it without hesitation. It is worth its money and more!!!
