Description

The man raises his hand and aims. The seven gunshots that are heard pale in comparison to the child's scream: "Father...". Truth or illusion? Random event or vendetta? Situations become complicated and take an uncontrollable turn. A second death follows - this time a woman. "Women and children are not killed. Look elsewhere for the murderer. Not in the vendetta..." The words of the initiates sound utopian. "Take our girl and leave Crete immediately. More harm will come soon. Leave..." A mother and her daughter disappear overnight. A key remains hanging on the nail in the wall and a mandinada stands unfinished.

Mountains and seas, songs and curses, rage and caress. Amidst the contrasts of fire, people build their dreams. However, will and passion are not enough. Everything can be overturned instantly. An endless cycle of blood continues and the old vendetta, like a nightmare, spreads terror between two villages in Crete. Words have never had enough power to describe such extreme emotions. What could bring about reconciliation, the longed-for Sasmós?

    I started watching the series and bought the book to see what will happen next. I noticed several differences, which bothered me a little. I would say that the book is more interesting. They have stretched the series so much that it started to overflow

    One of the few times I admit it, but I prefer the series on TV. Usually the opposite happens, but this one raised the bar quite a bit, so I don't find it interesting on paper.
