Regarding the shoes, I have put gel insoles for more comfort, at first they were stiff, but with the third time, they softened a bit, I wouldn't wear them for long hours standing, they are uncomfortable. For walking they are good.

They have a very comfortable insole, I have worn them out.
If the foot touches the inside and rubs, the lining wears out from the inside.
(It didn't happen to me but it happened to my boyfriend who got the exact same ones in men's sizes)

I bought them for work. While they were comfortable and the sole was supportive, within a few months they tore in two places on the left shoe and in another place on the right. It's a shame because this brand used to have very durable shoes.
