This volume includes articles and essays that touch on topics and events that have marked the Greek history of the last 30 years. Some of them attempt to interpret and evaluate things that happened. Others try to clarify goals and propose suitable means for their achievement. Others attempt to predict the consequences of certain policy choices that, at times, were made either to support the current policy or to make the need for a change of course clear. The articles cover a variety of topics. However, there is a series of common characteristics that permeate them and give them unity and coherence.
