It is a comprehensive and penetrating analysis of the social and political structure of the international system in relation to internationalist beliefs and ideologies that affect the Greek public dialogue. Greek internationalism, both "left" and "right," is analyzed in reference to the social and political structure of the international system. It is also connected to the phenomenon of globalization, with issues such as national interest, the role of international law and organizations, and the relationships between small and large states.

Among other things, it is argued that "neoliberal" internationalist beliefs function catalytically in producing a mixture of neo-dependent ideologies with a "center-left" facade, which are adopted by "conservative" and "progressive" "internationalists" of every political shade. Convergences or divergences within this framework shape the future political landscape of Greece. The author critically examines the intellectual tyranny developed by the conventional wisdom of our foreign policy.
