The FF313 Vortex by LS2 is a flip-up helmet, widely known as "flip-up" or "openable" as the front part of the helmet can be lifted. Because it is openable, it does not offer the same level of safety as a full-face helmet. It is usually a convenient choice for people who make many short trips with several stops daily. It is made of composite fibre, that is, from synthetic fibers that make it flexible and resistant to shock absorption. It fastens with a microlock, which allows you to fasten it easily and quickly. The helmet has European safety certification "ECE 22.05", which ensures that the helmet is tested for drop, impact, and object penetration. The package includes an anti-fog film, an additional accessory for the helmet visor that prevents it from fogging up. It is placed on the inner side of the helmet and is useful during the winter months. Additionally, it features a sun visor, which is an internal sunshade film, like glass, for protection from the sun.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
Very lightweight, quality construction, and excellent interior feel.
For 400 euros, I would expect better ventilation. I have it in winter with temperatures around 5-6 degrees Celsius and all the vents open. I believe it will be hot in the summer. The interior is a bit difficult to clean. With the helmet visor open and the sun visor down, there is a slight trembling in the visor after 60 km/h, which can make you dizzy. I would like the sun visor to be thicker like in other helmets.
Update 6/2020
For city use and scooter speeds (100 km/h), it is comfortable due to its light weight. However, it is very noisy and has poor ventilation.
Having a helmet that costs 150 euros, I would say that I am much more satisfied.
