Description

This glossary contains words and phrases that appear in the Kursbuch and Arbeitsbuch SICHER! C1.1, as well as their translation in Greek. Each page includes three columns:-the left column lists the German words-the middle column provides explanations of the words in German (e.g. synonyms, antonyms, examples)-the right column contains their translation in Greek. The entries are arranged in the order they appear in the texts and exercises. In longer texts, the words are given -for your convenience- with a reference to the order, paragraph, etc. where they can be found. They are translated into Greek according to their meaning in the specific text. The words and expressions that you must learn (Lernwortschatz) are written in bold.Black examples are often provided to make the interpretation of a word clearer or to show how it is used in a sentence.Remarks:

  •  Nouns are given in German with their article and the plural form. When the plural form is not provided, it means that the noun does not have or is not commonly used in the plural.
  •  Verbs are given in the infinitive form and are usually translated into Greek in the first person singular. For irregular verbs, the base forms are given in parentheses. In separable verbs, a slanted line distinguishes the first from the second component. Finally, verbs that take a prepositional object are given with the preposition and the corresponding case.
  •  Adjectives are given in their simple form -i.e. without endings- and are usually translated in the masculine gender.
