Classic spiral with alarm in general. Do not expect something terrifyingly unbelievable, it cuts for fun like all of you, but with the alarm it is an extra security. It is honest for the money it has. Just throw away the base it has for the bike for me. It is a relatively loud sound that lasts about 10 seconds if I have counted correctly. You can hear it if you are relatively close to it up to 10 meters... of course not as loud. It is sensitive so it will hit quickly. I would like 1-2 seconds before the alarm goes off, because when you go to unlock it, it makes noise, but for someone who wants to steal it, those 2 seconds are valuable, so okay, we don't want everything for the money we paid.
I just added the lock to my ebike, although it is nicely constructed, it is obviously not suitable for primary security. I will not use the base. As others have mentioned, it operates with a 2-stage locking mechanism, where the alarm is not activated on the first lock, while on the second, when fully inserted, the alarm is activated with a 15-second delay.
In a test I conducted, it was hit normally, but it also makes noise when you hold it to unlock it, so it is best to position it in a way that allows easy access to avoid the noise. Ideally, it could have a 2-3 second delay so that we can unlock it silently.
I purchased this lock as an auxiliary one to secure the front wheel to the frame. Although it can be cut with bolt-cutters, it at least has its alarm, so it will make some extra noise if someone tries to move it and may deter them.
The complete setup is the OnGuard Brute U-Lock for securing the frame and rear wheel to a railing, an independent alarm, another simple lock permanently attached to hold the saddle, and coming soon... special wheel locks and a 4G GPS tracker.
The best in its category. But the alarm is annoying and the support base is of poor quality. I removed the batteries and did not use the base. As a chain, it is worth it, but I would prefer it without the alarm and the base.
It is a bit difficult to insert the key into the lock sometimes. But overall, it is very good and reliable.

I just received the lock. From the first look, its construction seems quite good for its price, but its base is laughable. I believe it shouldn't even be put in the frame because you can tell it will break.
However, at the end of the bolt (in the locking mechanism), it has a small rubber piece that easily comes in and out. I tried it without the rubber piece and it works fine. I still haven't understood its usefulness.
I will rate it with 4 stars due to its construction and cost.
Very good and practical. I don't know if it is durable and if it actually protects, but I use it for a short time, I never stay away for a long time and I always try to have visual contact. The only flaw is that the alarm is not very sensitive and it takes a few seconds to go off or if you touch it and move it slowly it won't go off. That's why I deduct one star. It works for the job I need it for and I would buy it again.

If you push the lock all the way in, the alarm is activated. If you leave it a little bit out, it doesn't activate. In practice, it is particularly difficult not to activate it. And when you activate it, the results are usually comical.
As a lock, it is what you would expect in this price range. It can withstand nail clippers, but that's about it.
It's fine. It does its job.

Oct 2, '21 - Minus two stars because today I realized that the collar of the base support of the lock has broken (new photo). We're talking about within 40 days since I bought it if I'm not mistaken.. Tragic.. Now what do we do? Tire Ups?..
By activating the alarm, even the slightest movement of the bicycle triggers the alarm. I removed the alarm's battery and now I only have it as a lock.
Thick cable, looks good. I hope I don't have to find out. It has 2 locking positions, the 1st is just locking, the 2nd is locking with an alarm if it is moved. Usually, I press it to lock and it goes straight to the 2nd lock, so I unlock it and pull it back a bit to go to the 1st lock (if I don't want the alarm).
It does exactly what it describes. It has two locks, the first one simply locks like a chain, the second one activates the alarm. The sound is quite loud but I haven't tested it outside on the street. The size is satisfactory and the thickness of the cable seems to inspire confidence in preventing simple thieves with pliers, etc. At this price, it is excellent and I recommend it!

Very good, for its price I don't even discuss it.. And the alarm works perfectly fine. Stable mechanism for attaching to the bicycle, it also has a chain lock button on the mechanism so it doesn't fall off during vibrations.
P.S.: for someone who claims that the alarm cannot be deactivated, it's not true. It has two locking stages, so in the first stage it locks (relatively) without the alarm working, so it can stay on the bicycle
I already bought one and another one for my father. I will use it for my bicycle and my father will use it for his motorcycle, purely as an alarm. It has 2 locking stages. In the first one, it locks like a regular lock and in the second one, it secures and activates the alarm. For its price, it is very reliable and convenient.
It does the job just fine. The good thing is that it doesn't get tangled and returns as it was. Be careful when locking it, as the alarm is activated, so it's good for the lock to be visible so that the alarm doesn't go off until you unlock it.

I just received it and tried it out. It has two locking steps. With the second one, it arms, with the first one, it simply locks without a siren and can be attached to the bike frame if you want (I didn't use the one hanging from the base as it is made of plastic and if it breaks or gets caught somewhere, you will lose the lock or worse).
It gives you about 20 seconds to arm the siren, it starts with the slightest touch, it's not particularly loud, but it will turn heads to see what's happening and will panic the aspiring thief. It sounds for about 30 seconds and re-arms. It didn't have extra batteries inside, you need a screwdriver to replace them.

The only possibly negative thing is that the alarm is always activated when it is locked, so you don't have the option to lock it somewhere without a siren or to store it locked. However, this is covered by the hard cable that never loses its spiral shape, so locking is not necessary when it is attached to the body of the bicycle during a ride.
Quite sturdy chain, owner of it for about 2 months now. The alarm works perfectly and is loud enough to be heard from the ground floor to the 3rd floor in case of theft. Be careful, it works with a gyroscope and there is no timeout from the moment it moves until it starts to sound, so when you go to unlock it if the keyhole is not in a visible spot and you need to move the lock to find it, it will sound. However, it only sounds until the key is inserted, so there is no problem!
