  • I judge it as a simple reader and not as an expert. The story didn't captivate me and overall I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's the first book by this author that I've read and I wasn't impressed, however, I will try to read another one with better reviews, maybe this one was the exception. For those who have read Lovecraft, this particular book (although it has some related elements) is very different.

  • Unfortunately, this particular book is simply not very good. Although I would recommend it to someone new to horror, because it doesn't get boring and manages to create several moments of terror targeting the reader's fears.

First of all, the cover is not representative, it gives you an image of a much better and more sophisticated book. The author, although manages to put you in the shoes of the protagonist in certain points, which happens in the horror and isolation scenes, fails in the easier parts of the book, such as the dialogue between characters, which becomes monotonous and silly with multiple scenes that try to be funny or clever.

The book is full of references to American culture, which are relatively unknown and uninteresting to the average Greek reader. Although the book obviously did not target the average Greek reader, I doubt that anyone outside of America would have any idea about the "prama mila".

Also, none of the characters in the book have personality, they do not stand out from each other apart from their names.
