I had it for less than 2 years, and like most of them, one of the supports broke from the blades, causing it to fly off (and cut a few times causing irritation). I went to an authorized service center, which told me that it is not covered by the warranty and that the cost of changing the blade base is €25 (!!!), and also that the spare part is not available in Greece and we will have to wait about 15 days for the order. I had bought the machine for about €50. So they asked for half the money for a plastic piece that they know has a problem. Because I am a bit "stubborn" about such things, I contacted Philips Hellas, who only told me "unfortunately, that's how it is and we can't do anything".... It's a shame because Philips was very high up, almost in all its products. But the market rewards this way. It's not a coincidence that it only has small appliances to sell. Who, Philips, which, for me, had some of the top TVs.... Now I want to replace it. Of course, I dare not take it again, even if there is no other one on the market with a "vacuum cleaner" for hair. Oh, and its price is unacceptable today, since they know that its use is now temporary.... What a shame!!! What a shame!!! What a shame!!!

I have been a user of Philips trimmers for at least 20 years, and this particular one is the third one I have purchased, which features a hair absorption system. I have had the previous one for about 6-7 years and I just needed a second one, so I opted for the more modern model. First of all, I want to emphasize that this specific device is a trimmer for beards only! Not for hair, body, or shaving. Only for beards, so if you are looking for something for another part of the body or for shaving, it's better to look elsewhere because you won't be satisfied. This machine has some positives and negatives compared to other models on the market and previous Philips models, and here's my explanation:

POSITIVES:
- The hair absorption system. Like the previous machines, it does its job and is one of the main reasons why I prefer these specific machines. Not that the sink doesn't fill up with hair... it does, so don't expect a clean bathroom. However, this system retains about 70% of the hair. For me, it does the job and is worth it. Every time I tried using a regular machine, I realized how much cleaning I save with this one and how much less mess it creates.
- Quality of construction and warranty from Philips. It is a well-made device and generally delivers what it promises. The battery is good and will never bother you, especially since it's not for everyday use. It charges quickly, discharges very slowly, and overall, you won't have any issues. It also has a battery indicator. Sturdy construction, neither heavy nor light, with the guarantee of Philips' good name. After all, I have had the previous one for seven years and it still works perfectly fine.
- Very sharp head, especially noticeable when used without the comb directly on the skin. The blades do a very good job.
- There is an illuminated indicator on the front of the device to clearly show which setting you are on. Each setting is selected using a central dial, and the comb holds the specific setting firmly no matter how much pressure you apply to your face with the machine. In other words, it won't accidentally change the setting.
- The extra comb included for details and difficult areas was a very pleasant surprise and one of the major positives. Previous models in the series did not have a similar comb, and personally, it has been very convenient for me, especially for hard-to-reach areas of the face.
- Cleaning it was not difficult but not super easy either. It is a process that needs to be done after every trimming session and doesn't take more than a minute. Unlike some previous models, the hair absorption chamber is designed in a way that prevents hair from entering the machine, and the user cannot accidentally or negligently cause damage. It is a closed system to keep your head calm. You simply empty the collected hair and clean it with the two brushes included in the package. CAUTION: The machine is NOT waterproof, so do not put it in water.
- There are no vibrations during use or any other issues.
- The price, at around 60 euros, is good for what it offers.

NEGATIVES:
- While the build quality is very good, the design of the comb that lifts the hair and its quality have some issues. Because they have changed the absorption system, they have also changed the way the comb attaches to the machine, resulting in its "attachment" depending on two simple, thin, and transparent tips that go into the machine, left and right. Since this particular comb is removed quite often to clean the machine from hair and to change the head with the precision head, the thin and delicate tips of the comb, which are necessary for adjusting the cutting length, are very likely to break. I consider them quite sensitive and require special attention from the user every time they remove the comb, so as not to accidentally break them.
- The new design of the comb does not give me the same feeling as the previous models. While it ensures the stability of the selected setting, it does not give you a direct feeling during the trimming of the beard. It is bulky, and I believe it creates a strange sensation, which may be a matter of getting used to. I prefer the older design, but it still gets the job done.
- Cleaning is not difficult, but it is certainly more difficult than in previous models due to the change in the design of the machine. That is why there is now a second brush included in the package, as each head inside the body needs to be cleaned, which is now larger and collects hair inside.
- The cutting lengths of the beard, unlike previous models, are not sufficient, resulting in it not being suitable for those who want to maintain longer beards.

UPDATE 23-7-2022: After using it extensively, I have formed a safer opinion about this particular machine, which leads me to further lower my rating. Everything I have written above still holds true. Despite Philips' expertise in these machines for many years, I can only emphasize the above-mentioned negatives that I have mentioned. The sensitive attachment of the comb to the machine, particularly susceptible to breaking, renders the machine useless. However, I mainly confirm that the new design of the comb is problematic and does not help at all in trimming the beard. You have to pass it over the same spot multiple times and apply pressure in order to cut the beard sufficiently. I have come to prefer the previous Philips machine that I have had for 10+ years. It is a significant step back compared to previous models. A new negative I have noticed is that Philips did not include enough cutting lengths for the beard in the settings. My previous Philips has more, allowing me to trim the beard less closely. Ultimately, I can say that I had high expectations for this particular model but was disappointed. It is by no means a bad product... it is just decent (mainly due to the absorption system) and sensitive, nothing more. With a lot of caution, after so many years, nothing has broken or malfunctioned for me, but I believe it is more a matter of luck and excessive care on my part. For the average user, something would have definitely broken.
