In 1921, Paul Amadeus Dienach, an Austro-Swiss teacher with fragile health, suffering from the epidemic of the time "encephalitis lethargica," falls into a coma for an entire year.
When he recovers, informed that he doesn't have much time left, he seeks a milder climate and comes to Greece where he teaches German. Shortly before he dies, he entrusts his personal diary to his beloved student Georgios Papachatzis - future Rector of Panteion University and distinguished Legal Scholar - without, however, revealing more details to him.
Translating the diary, Papachatzis discovers his teacher's incredible story: for an entire year, while his teacher was in a coma, his consciousness inexplicably slipped into the year 3906 AD, into the body of another man, Andreas Northam!
Dienach describes in detail his experience there, which, among other things, includes the entire history of humanity from the 20th to the 39th century, as told to him by the people of the future - from the "Nightmare of the Number" (Overpopulation) and the World Wars, to the establishment of the World State, the new radical administrative system, the colonization of Mars, and the next evolutionary stage of the human species.
Today, almost a century after it was written, this unique diary is available in Greek, for the first time edited and adapted to our times, after first being read and moving thousands of readers in more than 30 countries around the world.
The book you hold in your hands is not a science fiction novel. It was not written to be published and does not claim literary laurels. It is the diary of an ordinary man who lived the history of our future.
