  • I have it here for about 1 year, it's top, I bought the motherboard for 90€ and for what it offers, it's top. Honest temperatures, excellent BIOS, and user-friendly. In terms of price and category, I think it's the best you can get. If we compare similar Gigabyte motherboards, this one from ASRock is 10 times better

I set up a PC with this motherboard here and about 1 month ago with a Ryzen 5 2400G, 2x4 GB RAM G.Skill RipjawsV at 2666 MHz (with a simple XMP option in the BIOS they immediately worked at 2666) and a Kingston A2000 500GB NVMe SSD. Because the order was made this April, the box had an additional sticker "Ryzen 3000 ready" due to a recent BIOS update.
When you install 2 memory sticks, you place them in slots 2 and 4, considering that slot 1 is the closest to the CPU. Also, please note that this specific motherboard (even if your processor supports higher frequencies) can only operate the 4 memory sticks at a maximum of 2933 MHz.
The installation was easy in a mid-tower case. The second slot for the SSD is not NVMe but SATA 3, and if you use it, you simultaneously disable slot 1 out of the 4 SATA 3 slots for traditional SSD/HDD drives. For the 60-something euros I paid, it is a decent motherboard. It is too early to write something about reliability, but I will come back if needed.

    All good and then some.
I hadn't appreciated this micro enough - only two usable PCI (the width of the graphics card covers the middle one as well), and the warm air from the processor blows on the memories and the motherboard's coolers from very close - There is no space (micro- whose fault is that?)

It was my second build and I admit it was easier than I expected. Of course, the motherboard helped with that.
I consider it comfortable for its price, it doesn't create any particular issues with the cables. The parts of my budget setup for office work (ryzen 2200g, corsair venageanace 1X16 GB - 2400, seagate barracuda nvme Q5) were easily installed and are functioning perfectly so far, with good benchmarks for their specifications, without blue screens or other problems.
I haven't played much with the BIOS yet, but I found and adjusted the basics easily without needing to google.
The only note is that the second m2 slot is an alternative to SATA3, so the total slots for drives are not 6 but 5.
It is a very good budget foundation for a PC now that chips have become "gold" and limit those with more expensive aspirations...

While it connected very easily, it saw the ram at 2133. I tried to change the setting to 2933 and the sound from the motherboard ports was lost upon restart. In other words, I had no sound! Maybe the model is problematic. As long as it saw the ram at 2133, there were no issues and it worked perfectly.

At such a low price with B450 and 2 slots for M2, I would call it a little gem.
For someone who wants a fast computer, with a little overclocking (if they want to experiment), plenty of ports for fans & USB, with a graphics card or CPU with integrated graphics, I don't think there are many options. Basically, it is a beautiful and high-quality build.
I combined it with Patriot Viper 4 Series 8GB DDR4-3000MHz memory and a Ryzen 3 3200G. The truth is that it gave me a little trouble at the beginning with some blue screens and screens with lines (as if the graphics card was faulty) because I changed the XMP to 3000Mhz, but then it stabilized and the computer runs smoothly.
I definitely recommend it. It's not MSI with software and BIOS updates every 1-2 months, but for someone who doesn't have specific requirements for overclocking, high FPS gaming, etc., it is flawless.

A good part for a budget build (not necessarily budget) all good with 8 USB ports and one of them being 3.1 and type C which impressed me, good integration with Ryzen 5 3400g, 2x Corsair ValueSelect 8GB DDR4 2666MHz, and a 256GB M.2 SSD

Excellent motherboard, first time trying something other than ASUS.

The only two minor negatives are the difficult connection of the hard drives (if you have 4 like me, you just have to blindly search) and the lack of software equivalent to ASUS AI Suite.

Wasted money is not worth crashing the PC with a blue screen and various other things... the worst thing in my history with computers is that Asrock needs to change jobs, it is not capable for motherboards, and in the warranty they will still give you a hard time until they fix it for you or whatever they do, like all stores do, as long as they take them from you and then you won't see them again, not even for a photo

  • It was good in the past. With 13€, you can get the Asrock Fatality 4 and get a variety of ports, aesthetics, LED strip, 2 M2 slots (x4 & x2), and upgradability. Both have been tested.

It was paired with a 2200G and 2x4GB Patriot RAM that were recognized at 3000Mhz without any issues.

One of the most hassle-free builds I have done, it matched perfectly with the 2200G and 2x4GB 2666 Kingston RAM. Upgraded directly to the latest BIOS with Agesa 1.0.0.6, installed Windows 10/1803, installed Adrenalin 2019, rebooted and everything was ready. Stress tested for 12 hours with 4K video, 3D, and rendering, flawless. Completely satisfied so far. Those who have issues don't know how to properly assemble systems with AMD APUs and of course, they attribute their own mediocrity of skills and knowledge to AMD, usually blaming the mountains for the snow. Great value for money with the B450 chipset and ready for the 7nm APUs with Navi and Zen 2, 2019/2020+

I have to say the following: the wasted money I spent is not worth it. In general, my PC crashed with a blue screen and other such things... Let's be honest, I was afraid of Asrock, so I switched to a Gigabyte 450m dsh3 and my mind calmed down, my friend

The motherboard is good but only to a certain extent. It has a satisfactory number of ports and compared to other motherboards in this price range, it is the best (personal opinion). I had no issues with the RAM, they worked straight out of the box at their XMP profile of 3200MHz. At first, I thought there was an issue with the RAM slots, but they just require more force to be properly inserted, which was a bit strange and I don't know if it happened only to me. The biggest issue I encountered with the motherboard was when I connected a second SATA hard drive. The initial boot screen freezes, requiring a restart from the case's restart button in order to boot normally... It's not a big issue for me and I recommend it for a matx build.

Well, it's my turn to give my review on this motherboard. Starting from the bios, it's very good, clear, easy, I had no issues. It has enough ports for me personally, even more than enough, especially for this price, what else do you want? I didn't encounter any problems in general, maybe a little with the RAM that was a bit difficult to install, it required quite a bit of pressure... But it's not a problem. It's a motherboard with good value for money, small but with plenty of capabilities... 2 m.2 ports. For me, who wants to upgrade in the future, it's the best option. It's worth getting it, don't hesitate because of the brand, Asrock is a reliable brand that offers capabilities at low prices. Quite satisfied!!!

I combined the motherboard with the Ryzen 2200g. Initially, I thought I had received a faulty part because it kept freezing or displaying a blue screen, and I had to restart or couldn't install the processor's graphics drivers at all! After doing some research, I found that the issue was with the version of Windows I had installed, so if you are using Ryzen, make sure your Windows version is 1709 or higher!! As for the motherboard, the installation was easy, the BIOS was nice and user-friendly, and it ran the Patriot Viper 4 with XMP profile at 3000MHz! It's too early to say anything else at the moment, but I am satisfied so far!

What a simple user who switches to the AM4 platform wants, this product provides and more. I have the Ryzen 5 1600 running at 3.7GHz at 1.275V (with Wraith Spire) and memory that I kept from a previous build (RipjawsV 2133MHz cl15) running at 2933MHz 16-18-18-38 at 1.35V, stable with memtest 1000%. Many positives also for the user-friendly bios. The extra M.2 sata port was a pleasant surprise.

The main reason I am giving a bad review (and created this account) for this chip is because its features are FALSE, not only on the product description but also on the asrock website. Specifically, it claims to support 3200 MHz RAM speed, but in reality, there is an asterisk clearly stating that it doesn't even come close. Additionally, the asr software for controlling the LEDs is very poor. Google something like asrPolychrome with wraith fan and you will only find errors and how-tos that involve manual privilege flush in 2019. I'm going to other sites to criticize asr.

I have had the motherboard in my possession for a month and so far it has not presented any problems. It has plenty of SATA, USB, 2 M.2 ports, Air Cooler (3), water cooler (2), and the BIOS is very user-friendly. It is a high-quality construction. Overall, the motherboard is very good for its price and I recommend it for a budget PC.
Now, for me, the installation was easy, but when I installed the graphics card (MSI Radeon RX 560 4 GB), it doesn't touch the second PCI slot, so I can't put anything there. Not that I will need anything else, but in case someone wants to know.
My build is AMD Ryzen 5 1600, G.Skill Ripjaws 8 GB 3200 initially recognized at 2133, but with XMP profile, I set them to 3200 and it works perfectly. Also, I have a Thermaltake Smart SE 530W PSU.

The Asrock B450M-Pro4 is an excellent motherboard from the reputable manufacturer Asrock. It has a very good power supply system and decent cooling. It appears to be a well-crafted design with plenty of USB ports. User-friendly BIOS like all Asrock motherboards. It also has two slots for m2.

    WARNING!
The motherboard essentially does not have a VGA - D-Sub output. If you get a processor with integrated Vega graphics, such as the 2200/2400G, the D-Sub will not work. This is known by very few people worldwide and is due to the fact that new graphics technologies have eliminated the analog signal for reliability and to avoid interference.
So it is partly a scam. If you combine it with a 7th Gen A8 9600 APU, which does not have Vega graphics, it is most likely that the analog video output will work, as it has Radeon™ R7 Series and not Radeon™ Vega 8 Graphics.
