The poet D.P. Papaditsas passed away on April 22, 1987. All his books, he was given the grace and were published while he was physically present in this world. He took care of them himself until their final form and detail, with the jealous persistence of impeccable accuracy that adorned him.
The encoding of his entire poetic work, which is realized with this volume, does not present philological problems. The final form of the poems he gave in the edition of "Poetry, 1" of 1985 is followed - which includes the poetry collections "The well with the phorminxes", "Within parentheses", "The adventure", "The window", "Nocturnal", "Substances" - and "Poetry, 2" of 1981 - which includes the poetry collections "In Patmos", "Two interpretations", "Like Endymion", "Duration", "Acherusia". In these two co-collective volumes, the four poetry collections that he presented after "Poetry, 2" are added, which were supposed to constitute "Poetry, 3", namely: "Antidromia" (1977), "Biform speech" (1980), "The incorporeal" (1983) and "Prooimion" (1986).
The only poems he left, leaving suddenly, in his precious papers, the poet, and which bear the seal of their completion somewhat visibly, are eight and are included at the end of this volume under the title "Remnants". Three of them were announced in "Tetradio Efthynis" no. 28 by the brilliant researcher of his work, Eleni Ladia. Two unpublished poems that the poet published while he was alive in the magazines "Nea Estia" and "Efthyni" are also added. Also added, but placed in their place, are eight unknown poems of his that were suddenly announced in 1996 and belong to the collection "Substances" of "Poetry, 1".
Of course, all the introductory-prologues or explanatory texts with which the poet judged that he should accompany some of his poetic books remained in their place, as well as their notes.
