As a furniture maker-assembler, I have to say that I am disappointed with Stanley. Unacceptable, it cannot hold on to the magnet so as not to break or bend. At 60cm, it leans downwards and at 1.80m, it breaks.
RECOMMEND:
(For hobbies and home use) A well-known toy store chain sells a meter that breaks at 2.30m for 4 euros.
(Professionals) ONLY MILWAUKEE for 15 euros.
Both tested.
(I don't know if it's a defect, I'm sharing my experiences)
Quality measure and exactly what is shown in the photos (magnet, double sturdy indicators). Since I also have the 8m, there are no external differences (except for the additional 3 meters of tape inside).
Excellent quality. Very convenient the magnet it has at the beginning of the tape measure. It has measurement indicators on both sides of the tape. It is a bit bulkier than I expected (it doesn't fit in a regular pants pocket), but it has a clip that attaches to the belt and it goes in and out very easily.

Very high quality and sturdy. The tape has a coating for protection against rust and wear.

Very good construction excellent quality.
Poor quality blade, over time it loses its flexibility and is practically useless
Very good invention, the Stanley
