The comprehensive edition of the "Catalogs", which have already been printed and released: "Catalogs 1-4" (Agra, 1980), "Catalogs 5-8: The Scenes of Martyrdom" (Agra, 1986), "Catalogs 9: The Definitions" (Agra, 1994), "Catalogs 10-12" (Agra, 2001), "Catalogs 13-14: Mourning" (Indiktos, 2007), is an undeniable consequence of a decision that was conceived and also negated, in a way, by time.
From 1980 until today, time has been unequivocally hostile towards the "Catalogs".
The release of their first section, with some scattered but encouraging examples of written and oral reception, did not foreshadow the continuation, which, slightly at first, rapidly afterwards, became unilaterally downward, resulting in their public trajectory giving, in retrospect, the image of a gradual disappearance, which I would characterize as existential.
The dominant symptom of their existence, both in the market space and in the realm of criticism, as well as in various anthologies, is their absolute absence.
The reason for their nonexistence may be inexplicable, allowing, however, many different explanations that cover almost the entire realm of written and published poetry, as well as its perception and evaluation, with the overarching question regarding the necessity of its very existence.
The gradual disappearance of the "Catalogs", both from the objective realm of their material aspect and from the subjective realm of memory and reader interest, makes their comprehensive reissue inevitable, after many hesitations as to whether it should or should not be done, given that, from my perspective, I had not abandoned the endeavor of continuing them.
An endeavor like the "Catalogs" does not hope, from the outset, to find a response commensurate with its own interpretation; the almost insurmountable mismatch between its appearance and its readability is predetermined [...].
