The way you catch Pokémon is not nice, it's like in Pokémon Go where you aim and throw. Personally, I didn't like this as a fan of the Pokémon series!

It has some differences compared to the regular franchise, but it is a remastered version of Yellow. Graphics, battles, and the story are its strengths. The multiplayer is terrible and doesn't make sense. As a single player game for nostalgia and something calm and kid-friendly, it is good.

For a game that advertises itself as being for 2 players, it is awful.
It is not worth its money. Play Mario Kart.

Old fan of Pokemon games starting from the first generation with Pokemon red. Although as a generation it is one of my favorites and when I saw this particular game I was very happy that it would be a remake of the first generation, in the end it didn't attract me as much as I hoped. It seemed somewhat slow (maybe coming from Pokemon Sword is to blame for this), and a little boring. I just didn't like the way you caught Pokemon and all that style.

If you like Pokemon, you buy it, if you're nostalgic you buy it, but for me it's not one of my favorite Pokemon experiences, I prefer to go and play Pokemon Red again ;)

My first cassette that I played was Pokemon Red on GameBoy, so we're talking about nostalgia and that's why I also bought the switch and it was the first game I played.
    Now, on the positive side:
+ Better graphics and more realistic.
+ You can see the freely roaming pokemon and go up to catch them.
+ The battle attacks are more exciting.
+ Now all the pokemon you have with you gain experience points, unlike before when you had to put them in.
+ For those who started playing the game in the past, it reminds them of the old days.

    Negatives:
    - The price, of course, but what do you expect from Nintendo.
    - The way you praise pokemon is a big letdown.
= Battles with trainers are easy, and the worst part is that if you don't face most of them, you won't have a problem.
    - The safari zone, of course, was not like the old one. And that's a big disappointment there.

I have played all the Pokemon games up to alpha sapphire and then I said I grew up and stopped. When I saw this remake, I was happy, but I was even happier because it's not just a remake with the same classic Pokemon systems, but a different proposal for old or casual Pokemon players who just want to experience the 1st Gen quickly and simply. Certainly, 50€ is enough for a remake, however, it offers many new things in all areas. However, if someone only wants the classic Pokemon system with wild battles, etc., it's better to leave it.

At 30€, it's worth it, purely for nostalgic reasons. In my opinion, only buy it if you find it on a good deal.

In general, I have loved the Pokemon series. From Gameboy to 3DS, but on the Switch, the truth is I expected much more. I expected it to make a bang as a Nintendo title, but unfortunately, it didn't excite me beyond the graphical aspect, which noticeably improves over the years in this title. I was very disappointed with the aspect of catching Pokemon because it was purely Pokemon Go, and overall, I can't say that anything particularly thrilled me. For fans of the game, the title should definitely be acquired, and we are looking forward to the new Shield & Sword series in November '19 to see if there will be any improvement

At the price of 45 euros, which is now a good game to start playing Pokémon, it is quite simple since there are no abilities and other complex game mechanics from other generations. I found the co-op mode nice for casual gaming since, if I'm not mistaken, it is the first one with co-op.

Impressive graphics but that's about it. There are no abilities and the battle system is boring... It doesn't have the same feeling as the regular Pokémon games and the story of the game is dull. It's an okay game but definitely doesn't live up to the series... So it's just so-so

100% objectively - and without any trace of nostalgia - the game is from bad to mediocre. The removal of Wild Battles, which was the core of the game, to catch a Pokemon has been replaced by a simplistic and incredibly boring mechanism similar to Pokemon Go, where you simply aim at the Pokemon in the center and press B. If I can describe the game in a short paragraph, it would be: You take a step and a Pokemon appears in front of you! You shake the Switch to see the Pokemon in the center of the screen and press B. You take another half step, another Pokemon appears! You shake the Switch to see the Pokemon in the center and press B. You take another step. The same! Center - B, center - B, center - B... over and over again... until later you encounter a Trainer who challenges you to a battle. After you finish, half step, another Pokemon, aim in the center of the screen, press B... the same for the remaining 25 hours of the game!

Very bad RPG for its time. I don't understand the reason for someone to play this game. The battle system is tragic, the music is boring, and the Pokemon capture system is indifferent. If it cost 20-25 euros, maybe I would recommend it. But I have played much better games for this price.

The only reason I tried this game was for nostalgia. Unfortunately, it might be one of the worst remakes I have ever played, as there are no wild battles, resulting in having to catch Pokémon just to gain experience. The difficulty level has dropped significantly compared to the last Pokémon title I played (Pokemon White). I believe Nintendo could have made another remake title, as they have already recycled this story once.

Excellent title that finally takes the series further and brings many positive improvements. Finally, the Paleolithic random encounters (whatyearisit) and the tiresome wild battles are gone. You catch Pokemon with faster mechanisms after seeing them in the overworld so you can avoid them if you're not interested, and you only battle trainers, which have always been the core part. Also, you can change your party at any time without running to a Pokemon Center, and the use of the box is much faster now. And don't be fooled by the difficulty at the beginning, things change along the way. The title of the year for the Switch for me and for those who don't care so much about Smash.
