I have had this particular system for two years and I am quite satisfied. It has a very good screen (unfortunately it did not come with a protective film) and decent sound, although the bass can sometimes distort the sound a bit so don't turn it up too high. The factory-installed apps are good and user-friendly, but its biggest advantage is that being an android system, you can download any app you want from the google play store via wifi. For example, the pre-installed music app did not display folders (only artists, albums, and songs), so I downloaded the pi music player for this reason. I have inserted a 16gb SD card with around 2,600 songs and it's truly amazing. It also has internal storage space. The video plays well, I tested it with regular videos, although I didn't try any videos with crazy 1080 resolution that even computers can't handle. The radio reception is good and it's user-friendly with the saved stations at the bottom, although it doesn't have RDS, which is a shame. The igo navigation GPS was good, but the company has abandoned it and its maps are not up to date. I recommend using Heremaps, which is often better than google maps (pre-installed). The Bluetooth for calls from the mobile phone through the car is quite good, it connects instantly, but my callers have told me that the sound is very low and it only displays the phone number, not the caller ID. Through Bluetooth, you can also play music from your mobile phone. I was also able to mirror connect it with my mobile phone (at first I couldn't, but it turned out to be a problem with the cable) and with this function, you can see the screen of your mobile phone and interact with it, meaning you can touch the system's screen and it affects the mobile phone, which is very cool! In conclusion, I recommend it! It is mainly affordable, user-friendly, has many capabilities, it's android, essentially like a tablet, and it definitely worth the money for what it offers.
Unfortunately, it constantly freezes in almost every function and the screen turns black. You need to go back to the main menu or turn off the engine a few times for it to recover. The GPS signal is constantly lost, which, by the way, also causes the screen to turn off when it announces the route. When there is an incoming call, the radio stops and does not resume after the call ends. Okay, it's affordable, but that doesn't mean it should work like this...
The problem with the company I bought it from is that I have to send it to their technician for inspection. They can't simply replace it with another one, even though I reported the issue to them within a few days.
I have had the screen in my car for 2 years... let's go through the pros and cons.
Pros:
1. Cheap
2. Resistant to touch
3. Performs relatively well
4. Plays HD videos nicely
Cons:
1. It's not Android 7 as it claims, but Kitkat 4.4 (you can check with AIDA)
2. It doesn't have RDS for the radio
3. The radio receiver (chipset) is terrible. If you play the same station through internet radio, you will notice a HUGE difference in sound.
4. Google Maps doesn't work properly because the map turns white and doesn't support night view.
Overall:
Great value for money screen. It's super for switching from a radio/CD to a screen with GPS. But don't expect miracles with 100-120€
Unfortunately, it does not do what it promises. The Phone link is a scam. It does not work even if you follow the instructions. Neither with a cable nor with WiFi.
Generally, it is an economical solution for someone who did not have aux-bluetooth or other car audio features in their factory car. Due to the Android software, you can easily download applications (such as YouTube, etc.) and another positive aspect is that it has maps, but you can also download Google Maps.
Generally, it occasionally has glitches and I have also noticed that many times, even though I lock the car and the radio, the next time I find it open. It is probably due to the button (ON-OFF), which is made of cheap plastic and may be pressed unintentionally.
It has crashed a few times. Now, if it is worth buying for this price, I would say YES, but with a reservation because for a little more money, you can get something from a more well-known brand.
I installed it with 150 euros in Peristeri, and it showed me one thing and gave me another. I cry for my money. Terrible quality, a radio that makes you lose faith in changing stations, a player that doesn't recognize folders, buttons that are slow to respond, terrible brightness and no adjustment, no car settings, and the screen goes off when giving directions in the navigation, etc.
I had it for about a year.... Today, as I am writing this review, it just burned out. I opened it up and an entire component and a capacitor are burnt. In the one year that I had it, it had issues with the radio reception, it didn't catch the stations very well and caused interference.
The irony is that recently I bought the same one again for my second car... It lasted exactly one year though.
For its price, it is relatively good. It has its occasional quirks, but nothing worrisome. The GPS is quite fast and reliable. One positive aspect is that it can handle whatever you put in it and it has an Android operating system where you can download any application you want. Additionally, the rear camera and dashcam ports are a plus. If you want better quality, you have to spend over three hundred dollars and go for a reputable brand. Anything cheaper at the same level as this will be like this. However, if you only care about convenience and functionality and don't care as much about quality, it does the job just fine.
The sound from the phone is not heard well, the volume button is slow, resulting in many turns for a little sound. The GPS was good at first, but after 2 months it doesn't catch any satellites at all. It doesn't have RDS on the radio and the signal is not good. I haven't been able to connect the mirror link with my iPhone. When you turn it on, none of the players start, not even Spotify. From the beginning, except for the radio which is there when turned off, it generally plays. I would prefer to spend a little more and get something that doesn't have such issues
The worst GPS ever.
I bought it 4 months ago and it caused me problems once every 15 days.
One time it deleted my apps, another time it randomly shut down, another time the screen turned black or had lines on it, and another time it switched apps on its own, from GPS to television.
It's a disaster
If you just want to put a screen in your car to play around, it's good. I've had it for about a month and for those who are somewhat familiar with these things, I have to say that it is another completely Chinese device for watching and enjoying.
Its pros are:
1) it is cheap
2) it is easy to install
3) it has GPS
4) it has input for a reverse camera and a recording camera
5) it has Android software, and you can download whatever you want via WiFi.
Its cons are:
1) poor build quality
2) the volume potentiometer works poorly
3) the power supply connectors were reversed, causing it to lose its settings every time I turned off the car. Even now that I have solved this problem, whenever I take the car for service, all the settings need to be fixed again. They were too stingy to include a small battery to keep them.
4) the default radio program and the default MP3 player are like they were made by a 12-year-old Chinese kid in 10 minutes. I don't know if there is anything worse. The radio takes 10 hours to reach a station you want, for example, if you want to go from 98 to 102.
Its MP3 player doesn't read folders, I mean, come on!! It only reads artists, albums, and individual tracks, so if you have a lot of MP3s, it becomes a mess and crashes. The other great thing is that in the mess, you can spend half an hour creating an MP3 playlist! But then you have no way to load it! (Seriously, sometimes I can't understand how they think)
5) The screen has two dimming settings, one for the day and one darker setting that blinds you at night, and the only solution is to turn off the screen (fortunately, it has that option) and turn it back on if you need to change a track, only to blind you again all night long.
6) It has two USB inputs, one in the front and one in the back. The flash drives work fine in the back, but not in the front. Maybe it's only for charging, I don't know.
I haven't tested the video and many of the other functions yet. But if I judge based on what I have already tested, I will probably get confused. I only gave it two stars just for the price, Google Maps, and the fact that it's like having a tablet in the car. If I were to buy it again, I would spend an extra 50 bucks to get something better, even if it didn't have a screen.
If its price was a few hundred euros, I would describe it as very good. However, at its current price with all the DIN2 functions at 114 euros that I saw, I consider it unbelievable. Amazing machine with only one drawback that may only occur in mine, in telephone communication with the mobile phone via Bluetooth, my voice is not heard "clear as a bell" but in the background, understandable though. A one-way choice with an alternative maybe some IQ with 100 euros more.
Good for the money, nice sound, but the Bluetooth didn't work properly. When you have synced your contacts with the device and try to make a phone call, the system gets blocked and the only way to unblock it is to remove the battery pole.
It's okay, not clear colors, the rear camera (universal) doesn't work well. Not clear colors when there are yellow lights on the columns, then you can't see anything.
