Two-way motorcycle alarm with remote notification from Steelmate. The system comes with two remote controls, one with a 20:9 LCD screen and one multifunctional with buttons as a spare.
The remote control with the LCD screen uses an integrated and rechargeable lithium battery and will notify you of any activity on your motorcycle. The alarm features automatic arming and shows the motorcycle's battery status on the LCD screen of the remote control. Using the latest sensor technology, the 886XO monitors the condition of the motorcycle and when the system detects a hit, ignition tampering, or someone trying to move it, the alarm system activates and sounds, while simultaneously cutting off the starter circuit and preventing the motorcycle from starting.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
I have had it for about 5 years and the reviews surprised me. Installed on a Piaggio Xevo.
Battery issue:
No battery issue as long as you change the backup 9V battery every 6 months or so. I believe that all alarms do not do well with inactivity. It only caused damage during the first COVID quarantine when it was inactive for about 2 months.
Reliability:
Flawless!! I don't have a motorcycle that someone wants to steal, but it has saved me 3 times when I was hit while parked. It even alerted me to a minor bump, so I caught the culprit before they could run away and leave me with scratches as a gift.
Functionality:
Easy and simple. Some people mention that it locks quickly. It's true, but if you press the unlock button twice, it won't lock again on its own. Let's read the manual.
After 5 years, I am completely satisfied and will install it again when and if I change motorcycles.
I was not particularly bothered by the fact that it is very sensitive because I rarely park in busy and noisy areas. However, it drains the battery very quickly. Even when it is new or freshly charged, after 10-15 days of inactivity with the alarm and remote control disabled, the battery is empty (even faster in winter). I don't know if this is a characteristic of all alarms with remote control, but if it is, those who do not frequently drive their vehicles should avoid it.
I have it for 10 days and the siren suddenly "became hoarse" (there is no rain, it hasn't been washed, it hasn't been in contact with water). It's a new device, box and all. I guess I'll have to fix the scouter again.
Tragic alarm. It drains power from the scooter's battery (4-year-old TMax 530) and I'm constantly left stranded. I have to go for deactivation. Stay away.
The one black controller broke in two months while the other lasted about a year (with various repairs). As a result, I had to go to the repair shop like a thief to have it fixed because believe me, it's worth much more to fix it than to buy a new one
In general, a good alarm, but in 8 months on a tracer 900, if I left the motorcycle for 3 days, even without it being activated, it would drain the motorcycle's battery.
Bad alarm quality, I have it on my xmax 300 and in 2 days it drops the battery voltage to 10 volts, in 10 days the battery is dead without even being hit. The alarm was removed by the yamaha dealership and I haven't had any problems since. And of course, they won't replace it because they say the alarm is working fine. So, 150 euros wasted. The alarm was installed at the dealership as soon as the motorcycle was purchased, 9 months ago.
Tragic alarm has eight levels of sensitivity settings, you have the one that is the most insensitive and it keeps going off on its own constantly, it consumes battery, it's the worst alarm I have ever seen on a machine.
It works properly. I initially put it on my scooter and because it satisfied me, I also put it on my motorcycle. The sensitivity is easily adjustable. It is reliable and also has its own power supply (9v) in case the source (motorcycle battery) is cut off, which lasts up to 6 months (according to the manual). The remote control also lasts several months (definitely two) with one charge (plus it shows you the battery voltage in real time).
I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because I haven't connected the remote ignition command (I'm still afraid to do something like that), so I haven't tested this feature. Also, I would like there to be a case or some sleeves so that you can store and read the remote control at the same time, avoiding DIY solutions, as it is easy to get small scratches.
Also, the range is good for me, about 100m with walls/floors of apartment buildings in between.
It works very well!!! Of course, it doesn't send a signal at 800 meters, but for distances of 70-90 meters in a house, it's super! In an open space, it has a greater range, but I haven't tested the distances. The good thing I have noticed is that you can turn off the sound signal (if you don't want it to make noise, for example, and it sends you a light + sound + vibration on the remote control) and only leave the lights to turn on and off. It's not a coincidence that the remote control has been changed in the new models, as its durability in falls is terrible - it cracked on the first drop and the plastic antenna broke on the 4th or 5th drop. I will see if I can find a case to replace it. I would also like both remotes to have remote control, not just one.
In the 2017 Honda SH 150, it works very well. It hits when it needs to, has good range, and doesn't drain the battery. Another friend has it on a new Versys 650, and after lowering the sensitivity a bit, it's perfect. I believe for this price, it is a very fair deal for an alarm with remote notification.
In Honda sh 150 scooter, the alarm is not of good quality, it cannot be compared to other well-known brands. I have installed it and regretted it. Firstly, it drains the battery as it consumes 0.37 mA, and secondly, it goes off by itself when a motorcycle or a truck passes by, so in the end, you think something passed by and it's the thief far away. Therefore, its sensitivity is set to the most insensitive! ! !

It does its job very well. The controller reaches a long distance, easy installation.
Continuing issues with the battery, it measured and lasts only 100mAh per second, very bad for the device.

I consider it one of the most honest for its price
The alarm is value for money to protect your bike.
