In this edition, for the first time, the three novels by Nikos Themelis: "The Search", "The Overturn", and "The Glimmer", which form a trilogy, are included in one volume. The books have sold over 700,000 copies, while the second part of the trilogy, "The Overturn", has been awarded the State Novel Prize, as well as the corresponding award from the magazine Diavazo. The edition is complemented by a note from the author and critical texts about his work.

I write because I feel the need to reflect on a completed past, but not a finite one. Because the education we were offered to move forward was inadequate, and I have always been bothered by ideas and perceptions in the reality I lived in, which I considered responsible for various shortcomings and prevented us from "rising a little higher". I write because I cannot be content with what I have already achieved or perhaps because I feel some deficit from what I aimed for and did not manage to achieve, e.g., to become an architect, to do theater, to learn piano, to broaden my knowledge and my mind. I write because I don't have time, because time chases me, and by writing I feel that I manage to fit in things that otherwise I would not be able to experience. I do not write to please. It is enough for me that I can communicate some things, because some people may be interested and others perhaps entertained. That is why I always expose myself ambivalently and publish them.
