God loves His creation so much that He sends His Only Begotten and Beloved Son to be crucified, to give His Immaculate Body and Precious Blood for the salvation of mankind.

A mother loves her children so much that she does not hesitate to uproot her own heart in order to see them wearing the immortal crowns of their martyrdom, truly and eternally happy in the embrace of their Father.

Three girls remain steadfast in the Orthodox faith, which their mother has instilled in them, and in the deep love they feel for their Heavenly Father, so with inner joy and perseverance they choose terrible tortures instead of royal glory, greatness, honors, and positions.

The mother is Saint Sophia, who lived in the early 2nd century in a great city in Italy. She is a noble woman, from a glorious and illustrious lineage, devout, filled with the Grace of the Holy Spirit. She marries a modest husband and they have three God-given daughters.

The girls are named Faith, Hope, and Love.
