The TL-WA860RE is designed for easy extension of your wireless network's coverage and signal strength. With 2 external antennas, it turns dead zones into connected zones, helping to keep your mobile devices, media players, and computers connected to Wi-Fi with a reliable connection.
Users can easily extend wireless coverage by pressing the WPS button on the router and the Range Extender respectively. Once connected to a router, users can simply unplug and plug the Range Extender back in anywhere without needing to set it up again.
All that is needed for the device to work is a power outlet to which it is connected. To ensure that no outlet goes to waste, it offers a built-in power socket.
Smart signal lights indicate the strength of the signal received by the TL-WA860RE from the existing router, which helps in finding the best position for optimal Wi-Fi coverage.
With the AP Mode function, the TL-WA860RE could convert the wired Internet connection into a wireless access point. Besides that, it could function as a wireless adapter to connect wired devices such as Blu-ray players, gaming consoles, DVRs, and Internet TVs.

I got it with reservation because of the price, but it turned out to be excellent for its price. Good signal, fast installation, and above all, it doesn't disconnect! I had a more expensive one from another brand before, and it would disconnect at least 10 times a day, at best
For 1 year and something it was working fine. Lately, I have an issue with it mixing up the other devices in the house, the router gets stuck and the firewall detects duplicate IP, attacks, etc. Unfortunately, whatever I tried didn't work, it went into the closet and we'll see if there will be any update in the future.
We have purchased a set of two. Due to the construction of our house, the signal did not reach the rooms/offices of our two children (students). No problem at all. It does not have interruptions or disconnections and it delivers the signal extremely well. Used for more than 2 years. Excellent!
It makes connections and disconnections and causes problems with the other devices. I set static IP on all devices but the disconnection problem remains. Despite configuring static IP on the TP-link device and router, I saw it connecting with a different IP. I don't know what's wrong. After a week, I had to put it on the shelf. My router is zyxel vmg8623-t50b. Unfortunately, 18 euros went down the drain.
I have been buying one here for 3 years and I will buy a second one. It is reliable, cheap, and the best there is.
Because many reviewers rate it low because it disconnects, let me tell you that the point it should be located is INSIDE the 5th line, meaning the strongest point of the main router and not too far away from it.
Amazing, don't think about it, just buy it. Place it where there is no signal, not in a place where the router catches well.
Very good. It does exactly what it says. It provides signal in the house, in rooms where there was no signal at all. Easy and fast installation. The internet speed is the same whether you receive it from the router or from the TP Link, without decreasing. It's worth the money!!
2 stars only because when it works, it has good signal. The issue is that in order for it to function, from the first day, I have to unplug it and plug it back in 1-2 times a day. I will contact the store where I purchased it and if anything changes, I will return with a new review.
For a better - easier installation of the extender, you need to have the corresponding application on your mobile.
I have bought several of these and for friends, very good purchase for the money. Good range. Like all, it also disconnects occasionally but rarely compared to others in this price range. The only thing you need to be careful about is the 5Ghz. As fiber optics become more widespread in homes and corresponding routers, this extender will no longer cover you. The access point function is very useful, especially for public services that do not have Wi-Fi. I have connected it to a PC or directly to a router and it shares the internet. The socket adapter is also a good option so as not to occupy the house's outlets, but I have never attached anything to it, I was afraid it might damage the extender. The connection with the tp-link app requires a little work the first time, but then it is easy.
At first, it was perfect. I had signal everywhere. After 4 months, it started losing signal constantly. Constant disconnections every 10 minutes. I would unplug it and reconnect it again. But in vain. It keeps losing signal and slowing down the speed. I am disappointed and now I am looking for something else.

I believe it works satisfactorily only if the power wiring in the house is consistent across all outlets. Otherwise, it is difficult both to install and maintain a connection. There are repeated disconnections. Not recommended, especially for newly constructed houses
Very good product, with very good performance, but it requires attention to the building's electricity network. It must be connected to the same network. Otherwise, it doesn't work. In the second house I moved to, they became useless.
Simple and affordable, it does its job.
The only issue is that it creates a separate network, so if you have a shared device like a printer or a hard drive, you have to be on the same network as them.
There might be a setting for this, but I didn't look into it.

I bought it for connecting to a computer far away from the router. I literally put it in the most remote part of the house and it catches very well considering it's on another floor. The ping in games is satisfactory. I believe it's worth its money, I would just suggest not placing it too far away from the router, and to have it turned off at night if it's close to your bed as it emits quite a bit of radiation.
It frequently disconnects and has significant speed losses. While it worked perfectly at first, now I have to unplug it and plug it back in to catch a signal.
I have wasted days of my life on this useless extender. At first, it worked well, but as I can see from other users' comments, it is programmed to break after a while. You complete the installation a hundred times, and then it either doesn't connect or connects and suddenly disappears from the installed devices. Shame on tp-link. Disappointment.
I read some negative comments about its durability over time.. I have had it for a little while and it is working fine for now...
All time classic! The connection is super easy, and its signal is very good. The only "downside" is that it's only 2.4Ghz, but that's expected for this price. So far, no disconnections and of course, the pass-through feature of the socket is also convenient because we didn't lose the socket where we used to plug in the lamp!
For one year, a star after taking out from the socket every 1-2 days. If it continues like this and I want another one every year, in the end I will become a collector
It works perfectly for a year, but then it needs to be unplugged and plugged back in every day to have internet. It catches the signal but doesn't have internet. From what I understand, TP-Link routers work well for 1 or 2 years and then lose their signal. I have 2-3 routers from different brands and they all have the same problem. I can't figure out how to solve it.
For the year that it worked, it was perfect. Now, even though it is connected to the router and has full signal on my devices, it says that there is no internet or it has up to 4 Mbps.
Excellent! I had a problem with the wifi on my balcony and couldn't watch a live streaming match without it freezing 20 times during each game. Since the day I installed the Extender, I found my peace. I don't know what it might present in the long run, but for the 1.5 months that I have it, it's super!
Due to recently moving into a maisonette, I purchased this product in order to improve the WiFi signal in the upstairs rooms. While using it as an extender, it did not perform its job properly. There were frequent disconnections and most of the time, even though the device (e.g. smartphone) showed it was connected, there was no internet. In the children's room (where the computers are located), I have powerline to bring internet through Ethernet. So, when I connected the extender to the powerline via cable and changed its mode to access point (meaning it receives internet through the cable and redistributes it through the WiFi antenna), things changed. There are no more disconnections, the connection is stable, and quite fast. As an extender, it did not satisfy me, but as an access point, it does its job just fine.
I do not recommend it at all... In the beginning, it had good range that reached from the router and it was generally very fast... After a few months, it started having constant interruptions. Until today (after 1-2 years), I still have it connected simply because it can connect once out of 20 attempts... Now it doesn't even connect at all. Furthermore, it is much slower than even 2 lines of the router...
I have bought it for a day now... I am speechless, I did not expect in any case that I would find such a machine to do my job with 24 euros. I have the router on the 1st floor, the extender on the ground floor, and I get signal in the basement as well as in the courtyard, albeit with reduced speed, but still satisfactory so that I don't have any lag on my laptop and smart TV. So far, I think it's perfect, I'm waiting to see if it will continue like this in the future
I have it for two days. It does a lot. The signal went to 97-98 on remote devices. It reaches the lower floor (from tests). I unplugged it from the socket and it came back on its own in two to three minutes. I haven't done any other tests. It seemed very good to me.
- Continuous disconnections from day 1.
- It is more offline than online.
- Even when it is online, sometimes the TP-Link Hub app cannot find it on the network.
- Restarting and disconnecting/reconnecting only temporarily fix the problem.
- Less than 10 meters away from the router, it shows weak signal without any major obstacles in between.
Possibly a defective product or simply a defective series based on some of the reviews.
For 1 year it worked fine. After that, it started having constant disconnections and you have to unplug it from the socket or constantly reset it.
Good as long as it worked. Now, after 6 months, it disconnects daily. The most annoying thing is that it requires a restart to come back. Maybe it's defective?
Well, the product is not available. I had a weak signal because my space with the router's location was separated by two walls. Now I have a full signal on all devices even though we are separated by two walls from the router... it is worth it and more. Note: It is easily adjustable even with the mobile app, no need to connect a computer or laptop.
