METAL GEAR SURVIVE is based on the continuous action gameplay of METAL GEAR SOLID V'S, while introducing new elements of exploration and survival to create a new experience. METAL GEAR SURVIVE is a spin-off of the main story of METAL GEAR SOLID V that takes place in a strange alternate universe. Create your own character and learn to survive. Gather resources, build weapons, establish a base camp, and explore the unknown, while developing the necessary survival skills in this hostile environment. In CO-OP mode, gather a team of four players to infiltrate and defend areas from hordes of creatures. Strategically place fortifications and defensive weapons to give you an advantage against the ever-advancing enemies. Teamwork and innovation are key.

I bought it as a fan of the series from the 1st metal gear, what I have to say is that it has nothing to do with the previous metal gear games, it doesn't even come close, but it's a nice little survival game that is worth getting into for €8, playing it new, until one gets bored of killing wanderers!
If you set aside the Metal Gear in the title (and the whole sacrilege theme), you have a decent survival/crafting game. The only thing that bothered me (considering that I played it with an open mind without being bothered by the title and the story) was its difficulty. The waves are very chaotic, and the missions are quite repetitive. It's really difficult if you play it single player, while it could easily keep you engaged if it allowed you to progress somewhat more comfortably, without having to spend days grinding and searching for better equipment, etc. Although I liked it, I couldn't handle it and quit halfway through.
It is a good game, but we cannot deny that the atmosphere it creates takes you back to the older Metal Gear games. The only negative aspect is that they made the game pay to survive.
Thank you Konami for with your ego and arrogance managed to contaminate in such a way a series that offered infinite things to gaming. If you had even a little bit of intelligence, you could have made a remake of the original Metal Gear Solid and make three times the money instead of creating this monstrosity that only insults the series and its fans. I won't even comment on the fact that they removed the original element that made the series stand out. The Stealth. They even added microtransactions in the first week of the game. This is more than disrespect to the entire gaming universe. Shame. Just shame.
Well done Konami, you're doing well....
Metal Gear in name, but not in spirit.
