Dear Miss Bridgerton, We have been corresponding for quite some time now, and although we have not met officially, I feel as if I know you. Forgive me for any possible excessive boldness, but I am writing to invite you to my home. I hope that we will get along and that you will agree to become my wife. Sir Phillip Crane
Sir Phillip Crane knew that Eloise Bridgerton was a spinster and that is why he proposed to her, assuming that she would be awkward and modest and a little desperate for love. Only... she was none of those things. The beautiful woman at his door was anything but silent and, when she stopped talking, all he wanted to do was kiss her... Eloise Bridgerton could not marry a man she had never seen in her life! Without much thought, in the dead of night, she was on her way in a rented carriage to meet the man she hoped would be the perfect match. Only... he wasn't. The charming Phillip was a great scoundrel, rude and ill-tempered, completely different from the proper gentlemen of London who were competing for her hand. But when he smiled and kissed her, her whole world crumbled and she couldn't help but wonder... Could this man become the perfect husband for her?

Good but a bit boring... I was flipping through the pages because it had too much monotonous dialogue. One of the most boring in this series.. I skipped pages to bypass the long-windedness :D
It took me a year to read it. Very boring
