It doesn't work as a power bank because power banks don't stay on if they don't detect that they're charging a phone.
The soldering iron doesn't turn off... The power bank shuts down... Check it out...
It needs a strong power supply, though, because the "small" ones (2-3A) heat it up easily.

Update: Finally, it doesn't work at all, wasted money. Choose something else!
It does heat up and cool down very quickly, but it keeps turning off on me all the time. I still haven't figured out why, I'm looking into it... Maybe I'm doing something wrong. The power bank I have is 10000 mAh, that might be the problem, I'm not sure. I've also tried plugging it into a socket with an adapter, same thing... It's quite annoying. It's a shame because it's beautiful and makes you want to use it. If I find a solution, I will come back with an updated review.
You carry this and a power bank with good mAh and you can comfortably make small repairs on electronics. For its price, it is excellent.
