New edition of the works of the national poet Dionysios Solomos. The editing of the edition, which coincides with the 150th anniversary of the poet's death, has been undertaken by Professor of History and Theory of Literature at the University of Athens, Dimitris Dimiroulis. The edition is addressed to the general public, but is accompanied by the necessary philological documentation and support. It therefore includes, in addition to a systematic introduction to the life and work of Solomos, comments on all the texts, editorial observations, bibliographic coverage, and, in an appendix, the famous "Prolegomena" by Polylas. All the texts are published in monotonic system and their final form is derived from the exploitation of previous editorial projects, from the systematic release of Solomos' bibliography and from the comparison with the poet's autographs.
The edition is accompanied by a CD on which the actress Lydia Koniordou reads a representative selection from the works of Dionysios Solomos.
