Bought for amateur radio use about two months ago and using it daily, I am very satisfied. Much better construction than any Chinese one I've ever held. The menu takes some getting used to. It has several functions, not so much for portable use. I should mention something I haven't read anywhere, the microphone is low if you don't speak loudly and close to it. I think it's because of the waterproofing. To speak comfortably without disturbing, I solved the problem by buying the official Yaesu microphone for this model. There is a hidden menu (it's all written in the 2 manuals) where you can activate the screen to work as a dual display (you have two frequencies "simultaneously" in VFO mode and the name and frequency below in memory mode). Very happy with the purchase, bad impression of the high prices of the accessories.

P.S. I see some "smart" people charging extra for unlocking the transmission outside of amateur radio frequencies. It is clearly something illegal! Beyond that, for the reasons someone may have and wants to unlock the transmission, with a search on YouTube within 2 minutes and completely free, without any technical knowledge, they can unlock it themselves.

Yaesu is, I believe, one of the best...! Very good sound, very good reception, and comfortable. I got it for professional use and I am very satisfied!
