The aim of this book is to present in a simple and understandable way the principles of costing technical works. It is addressed to students of Civil Engineering Departments, Infrastructure Engineering Departments, as well as Civil Engineers.
The first part contains the necessary theoretical background and technical construction knowledge. Specifically:
In chapter 1, an introduction is made to the basic concepts that are involved in every budget and project planning, such as implementation phases, various types of studies. Detailed invoices are presented, as well as the analysis of unit prices.
In chapter 2, the reader is introduced to the first task that is usually carried out in many technical projects, earthworks. The types of excavations, factors that affect the cost, the method of measurement, and the budget of the accompanying works such as embankments, compactions, etc. are analyzed.
