  All other devices connect and the Xiaomi either doesn't connect or the speed is very slow.
  I changed the channel on the router (as I read in a forum) but still sometimes it would catch wifi, sometimes it wouldn't.
  There was also lag in the menu, you would try to navigate and it would be slow.

It freezes sometimes, this machine is worth 30 euros even though they sell it for 50, 60, and 80 euros. In China, it's worth 15 euros. If you want to watch real 4K, you need to get a Blu-ray player and a 4K disc. You will never see 4K from the internet, it only upscales and as a result, the image quality worsens.   I bought it mainly for use with Netflix and Youtube. The TV supports USB perfectly, so I don't bother to connect it to Xiaomi. It is small in size, slim, and "elegant". Its plastics are good, not "Chinese". It is probably easy to use for what I mentioned. I have only installed the VLC player additionally from the store. In the few hours of operation, it has also done what they mention, the non-recovery from sleep (after "turning off" from the remote control, since it only "turns off" that way anyway). That is, it didn't turn on after shutting down. It happened to me once. Obviously, it is an "issue" but I'm not too bothered. Nowadays, there is no completely reliable device...

  Still working great! Of course, we only use it for Netflix, Youtube, and movies from USB (flash drive or hard drive).
  It plays EVERYTHING. Sometimes, if I have something in a USB with a "different" format and the TV doesn't recognize it, it recognizes and plays it just fine. I had VLC and after a while, I installed the MX player. I haven't loaded any other apps. It serves us flawlessly for this use!

  I bought a second one for a relative, again from an official reseller, International version. The box is incredible. I use it for Netflix, IPTV, YouTube videos, and net radio. I haven't tried Kodi and addons or media player from a network yet.
  So far (oreo update), the annoying issue with the remote control when it "wakes up" from sleep hasn't been resolved. You need to press various buttons on the remote control several times to connect.
  Sometimes, due to buffering or multiple applications, it becomes slower in response. The issue is resolved by restarting the software to clear the memory.
  Apart from that, everything works flawlessly. It can be customized to the extent I want, without any glitches. I have gotten rid of many boxes under the TV, now everything is in one. Sideloading apps is easy, Aptoide store for applications, powered USB hub with Ethernet connected mouse and 2 flash drives, one for increasing internal storage and the other for ROM games for emulators, connecting Bluetooth gamepads without any problems. Overall, it is a complete value-for-money entertainment box. It is the best purchase I have made.
  Search the internet for must-have applications to enhance the experience even more.
  P.S. For those who have TVs from before 2016, because the firmware does not have force RGB, it often displays green and pink colors on the screen. It happened on a Samsung from 2013 that I had. You can change the color space in the Mi Box settings to RGB 10bit and on the TV, set it to the same or automatic, and everything will be okay.

  Update 28/3: The latest update has resolved the issue with the remote control "waking up".

  Without having experience from any other TVBOX, this one does excellently what it was made for...
  At the price of 65E that I bought it, it plays NETFLIX-YOUTUBE-KODI (although I noticed some small freezes that were probably due to the add-ons and LIVESTREAMING) and its connection with GOOGLE is very easy thanks to the voice command from the remote control that "listens" perfectly to all commands... The android upgrade is done automatically as soon as it is connected to the network...
  I would prefer it with an ETHERNET output for direct internet connection and maybe with an additional USB (I haven't worked with it yet to see its capabilities in file/video/music reading as NETFLIX-YOUTUBE cover my needs..)

  Purchase from official reseller, it's simply value for money, it does everything. As for the issues, just keep an eye on the forums because Xiaomi hasn't left them to chance. The recently released 3S has the exact same specs but with a new BT remote control. I recently received the OTA update build 2396 (Android Oreo) and the device simply flies, and many issues have been resolved. I read on the forums that they are already beta testing the OTA update build 2405 (which seems to solve the wake up issue) and the OTA update 2415. The only serious issues that remain at the moment (build 2396) are the wake up issue after deep sleep and the stuttering when it wakes up, which can be solved simply by rebooting, although I no longer experience it after a factory reset. The second issue is the auto frame rate switching during playback of certain files, such as 23.97 fps, which I also read will be solved in a future OTA update. I won't mention the issues with DD+ because they don't concern the average user, although I read on the forums that they are being worked on/corrected. As for the Wi-Fi, there are no problems. I use a Mikrotik router and both the signal strength and throughput on 2.4 & 5GHz are satisfactory. It seems to be on the right track. Useful apps: 1. Sideload launcher (to have all the shortcuts from apps installed outside the Play Store on the home screen manually). 2. Control screen rotation (to rotate the screen - before running the app - from portrait to landscape or vice versa). 3. X-plore File Manager (file manager and FTP client to connect to the FTP server on your PC, such as FileZilla FTP server, and easily and quickly download apps from the PC). 4. AIDA64 (Hardware & Software information for Android devices). 5. Kodi (no need for recommendations, ideal for NFS shares from PC or NAS and VoD from Greek and foreign repositories). ----update 22/12/2018---- The wake up issue has not been resolved with version 2396 even after a factory reset, but now I leave it always on (I don't put it in sleep mode). It has been up and running for over 20 days now and responds perfectly at all times. Personally, I believe this is the best solution until the wake up issue with deep sleep is resolved.
