This is the first time I'm getting whey powder or protein in general.
It seems good, it should have some scoop inside considering how expensive they sell it (if others say it has one then disregard this, I haven't even reached halfway so maybe mine got buried...)
However, it does clump a bit but it doesn't bother me much (and maybe it's because I'm mixing it with soy milk).
I'm not giving 5 stars because it's quite expensive, they should lower the price or increase the quantity a bit so it lasts a month if you're a 184 cm man weighing 88 kg...
I had some reservations at first because some people said it is too sweet, but I thought I would give it a try. Guys, it is indeed sweet at a normal level. I don't know how many ML the other kids were using and say it is excessively sweet. I tried it in water and almond milk; it dissolves easily, and the peanut and chocolate flavors are incredible, especially the chocolate with 300 ML of almond milk and 100 ML of water. It was like drinking milko TOP!!
For the protein, I have nothing to say about the quality; it is excellent! As a user for the past 2 months, I have seen exceptional results. Now, regarding the taste, I wouldn't buy it again as it is not as strong as the chocolate coconut and it seemed more diluted to me, plus it reminded me of vanilla in flavor! Nevertheless, as a protein, it is excellent, one of the best on the market!
I have no idea if it is good or not in terms of results; I got it because it was recommended to me and it was popular. The use I want to make is to keep my protein intake high while avoiding too many calories to lose weight.
Positives:
1. Solubility: It dissolves easily, although the shaker I have significantly helps in the process.
2. High protein content: It has about 25 grams of protein per scoop, which is ideal for increasing protein intake.
3. Composition: The fact that it is not 100% hydrolyzed may mean that it is absorbed more smoothly by the body, making it effective for gradual absorption.
Negatives:
1. Taste: It is overly sweet due to the sucralose it contains, which can be bothersome for those avoiding sugar or preferring natural flavors.
Comparison:
A simple 2% yogurt has 8g of protein with just 56kcal, while a scoop has 25g of protein and 114kcal... Not to mention the salt it contains... Now, even though it is popular in fitness circles due to its convenience and high protein content, could the powders be unnecessary and a very poor dietary choice?
Very good protein, you feel from the first minute that it is TOP, my only issue is that with the gourmet chocolate it is too sweet for me, but quite tasty like cocoa.
The first protein powder I ever bought and definitely one that I will buy again. I mix it with water. What I liked the most is that it dissolves very easily without leaving any lumps. Compared to the ones my brother takes, I am extremely satisfied. I see him shaking them for a minute, using a mixer, etc., while I simply pour it into my shaker, shake my hand twice, and I'm ready xd. Four stars because I ordered a different flavor than the one I received, but okay, the "gourmet chocolate" was really good. It's like drinking cocoa with water. When I tried it with almond milk, it was like drinking a milkshake. Absolutely no stomach issues and even with two doses at the same time, I didn't have any problems. The price could be better, but it doesn't stop me from buying it again
I consider it a very good isolate protein. The gourmet chocolate flavor I got, I can say that it is as sweet as it gets, which is perfect for me as I can't handle very sweet flavors. Now, on the basics, since I have lactose intolerance, I can say that it was a pleasant surprise that when using it either with water or lactose-free milk, it didn't cause me any bloating or discomfort in the stomach, which is very important for me. Having already consumed almost the entire 2.2 kg package, the results are extremely satisfactory. It helps a lot with toning and personally it has helped me with recovery as the intense fatigue symptoms after exercise have disappeared. For me personally, the product has very good results in a month and a half of use. I will also try the cookies flavor to decide which one to buy from now on.
The only protein that doesn't bloat me, since I have tried ON gold standard, BioTech Iso Whey Zero, BioTech Power Whey, Scitec Night Pro.
Its taste is very close to ON gold standard double choco, in a blind taste test I would confuse them.
I have no opinion on whether it works or not because I just started, but it is incredibly sweet and leaves a stevia aftertaste.. Gourmet Chocolate flavor, I will not choose it again.
Excellent solubility, digestible, without stomach problems, quite clean. I have tried chocolate, cookies, and birthday cake. The taste is somewhat subjective, what I have to say is that I would describe the first two as simple, not something particularly layered and gourmet. The chocolate is exactly like a commercial chocolate drink, without being overly sweet. The cookies are simple, like a chocolate cookie that we dip in a little milk and then drink the milk, without the milkiness. The birthday cake is definitely more complex and divisive. To me, it tastes like vanilla-white chocolate with a hint of caramel butter. Some may find it too sweet or not like it. Personally, I liked it a lot. The good thing about all the flavors is that they are equally enjoyable with water as with milk, which is important because there are proteins that make you nauseous when you drink them with water. Overall, I have tried other proteins with much better taste, like ON or Biotech (where the cookies tasted exactly like Oreos). In no case are the flavors bad, they just aren't super. However, because I value the purity, solubility, and the fact that it is ISO, I give it 5 stars and I believe it is worth trying because if you find a flavor that truly suits you, it is a superior product.
First taste with chocolate flavor. Perfect solubility and taste. I will not try anything else. value for money. Quite sweet of course, but for me who likes sweets it's ok. I cut down on sweets because it covers me in that too. It does not bloat me and it is digestible. I only drink it with water.
Good nutrition, exercise, sleep-rest AND these LITTLE THINGS HAPPEN!!! (no alcohol, no sugar, no cigarettes, no lack of rest and you will see results VERY quickly). One very impressive thing I immediately noticed, the very fast recovery- much less fatigue, even if you overdid it the previous day. (I already bought another fresh 2 kilos)
For me, it is the best protein. It doesn't bloat me at all and it doesn't create any problems in my stomach. I drink it 20 minutes before exercise and it gives me energy. I take the Gourmet Chocolate flavor which is the best for my taste as it doesn't leave you wanting like the Chocolate Coconut, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and Fudge Brownie flavors I have tried. I have no opinion on the other flavors. I dissolve it in water and it really gives you a nice chocolate taste.
After a lot of research on what is good for the body of a normal person, considering daily consumption logic as well as what is important for exercise, I have come to 2 proteins.
For daily use, 100% Whey Gold Standard (Optimum Nutrition) Unflavored. It is important to choose the Unflavored option. We should not put chemicals in our bodies every day.
For the days I have a 2-hour workout, I use Pre-Workout Unflavored and 30 minutes after the workout, Dymatize ISO 100 Hydrolyzed. It is the most absorbable protein in the world after Platinum Hydrowhey (Optimum Nutrition), which is very expensive and not worth it if you are not an athlete.
Unfortunately, there is no Unflavored Dymatize ISO 100 Hydrolyzed, but the amount of chemicals is so low that it does not affect you if you take up to 4-5 doses per week.
I have seen various other brands lately with prices of 40 and 50 euros for 2 kilograms. Be careful about what you put inside you. We want to achieve proper results but also live to enjoy it. Do not buy uncertified products. The 80 euros may seem like a lot to you, but consider that the cost of getting this amount of protein from food is multiple times higher. So, do not try to gain even more at the expense of your health.
I am new to taking supplements so I don't know how much it will help. I have been going to the gym for 2 months and watching my diet. But I can say that it doesn't bother my stomach and dissolves easily. It has a nice taste even with water. My brother got the exact same one but in cookies cream flavor, which is also very nice. With my oatmeal (oats, honey, peanut butter, fruits, etc.) I liked the gourmet chocolate flavor much more. Plain with water maybe the cookies flavor is a little better. I will definitely choose it again.
In taste it's great and in results it's fine... it just has caffeine like most, so consumption should be moderate... I believe one cup a day is fine... for higher dosage, it's better to consult someone
Vanilla flavor mixes relatively easily with milk and has a nice taste!! I will inform you about the results after one month of going to the gym four times a week and following a diet
Good protein, however since my needs are not big, I cannot say with certainty that it is effective. I will mention, however, that the taste could be improved. I got the banana flavor and very often I felt the taste was very strange and "foreign", I would describe it as chemical.
I do not have experience with proteins, so maybe I am not the most suitable person to judge it. However, I will share my experience for anyone interested. Regarding the taste, although it is completely subjective, personally I find it quite sweet, but it does not bother me. I note that I only mix it with water. I prefer the vanilla flavor. The banana flavor was not bad, but inferior to the first one. As for effectiveness, what I see as a difference is the recovery and almost elimination of injuries even after intense training. This is the main reason why I take it about 15 minutes after every weightlifting or intense running exercise. I note that I only take one scoop per day and only if I have trained (about 5 scoops per week in total). A big problem I had was that after about 1 hour of taking it, I had intense stomach pain. Someone else here has also mentioned this. Initially, the pain decreased when I started to drink it gradually and not all at once. This helped a lot, but did not completely solve the problem. Eventually, I almost completely overcame it by fasting for about 2 hours from the moment I took it (I also take it on an empty stomach), without needing to drink it little by little. So, it seems that my stomach does not tolerate it well with food. As I was afraid that I might cause damage to my kidneys and liver with the protein, I have blood tests every 1-2 months for transaminases, cholesterol, uric acid, and creatinine. No indicator has been affected, in fact, some have slightly improved. So, it is a quality product without any "strange" ingredients. Finally, with a little research I did, the following concerns me, which makes me want to try other brands as well. The sweetener used is relatively controversial in the sense that it has not been studied as much as others used by competitors. Additionally, it is not quality controlled for banned substances every month, but much less frequently, and the tests only focus on the final product and not the entire production process. This does not mean anything bad, it's just that there are competitive companies that are much more transparent in the tests they undergo. Overall, though, I definitely recommend it, both for the results I have seen in myself and for its very good technical characteristics.
I must have bought 5 or 6 of these 2.2kg protein powders in the last few years and I have been extremely satisfied.
- Not only in terms of energy levels, when I take it before a workout, but also on "rest days", when I take it as a supplement at work, it keeps me fully active, as if I had consumed a meal, but without the heaviness that a full lunch causes.
- Perfect solubility. It has also not caused me the slightest stomach discomfort.
- It is a bit pricey, but in my opinion, it is worth every penny and more. From the research I have done on specialized nutrition and bodybuilding websites, it is considered by most to be the best hydrolyzed protein on the market.
- As for the flavors, they are subjective, but for me, gourmet chocolate is the best. The last one I bought is cookies & cream, which personally I would not recommend as a flavor.
It dissolves easily (I put it in milk), its taste is delicious, and it doesn't foam at all. I also make ice cream with it, it's great. It's worth its money just for the hassle-free use.
