The practical size of the Weber Q2200 allows you to place it on the balcony or in a small garden, on a stable surface. With foldable side shelves, it is fully portable so you can take it with you to the cottage, as well as on all your excursions to the mountain or the sea.
With a cooking surface of 54x39 centimeters, the Q2200 can easily cook a dinner for a group, as its cast iron grate can fit 6 medium-sized steaks. The porcelain enamel coating on the grate makes it non-stick, allowing you to grill your delicious fish even more effortlessly.
Thanks to the single and homogeneous surface of the cast bucket of the Q2200, cleaning it is easy and quick. All you need to do is remove the burnt food residues from your grates and guide them from the bucket to the grease collection tray. Access to the grease collection tray, located just below the bucket, is achieved with a single motion from the side of the grill.
Use the side surfaces to hold small plates or to place the tools you need during grilling. They fold down with a single motion so you can reduce the size of the grill and store it more easily.

I have had it for two and a half years on the balcony. We already have a Weber charcoal grill on the terrace, but we decided to get a gas one for outside the kitchen. We bought it on a black Friday (€390).
We have grilled everything, mainly me. Very user-friendly. It has replaced my oven. It doesn't smell the house at all. The thermometer is a lifesaver. I use it like my kitchen oven. With the other Weber charcoal grill (which we have been using for 7 years and hasn't had any issues), I struggled to adjust the briquettes to the right temperature. The most important thing is that it doesn't catch fire like a cheaper one that my friend has. Value for money.
Easy to clean. I soak the grates in the sink for 5 minutes.
I didn't buy a new tray for collecting the fats it has underneath. I simply change the aluminum foil after each use.
I didn't buy the stand. I measured the gas bottle myself and had the wood and melamine cut at a well-known department store (I had the wheels from a pallet that broke on me). It cost me a total of €35. My husband assembled it.

I also bake pizza on a stone (it's actually a ceramic plate, specifically for pizzas, which stores call it a stone). I preheat the stone slowly at 220 degrees for 20 minutes so it doesn't break from the sudden temperature change, and then I bake at the highest temperature for more than 6 pizzas. It's not worth turning on the grill for less than 4 pizzas. It's like the authentic Italian pizzas.
In other words, I use the grill as an oven, like the new covered ones, specifically for pizzas, that have been sold in stores for the past 3 years.
The construction is of the highest quality, but for me, Weber is very expensive. It is definitely true that you get what you pay for, so it is definitely very good at its job. However, if someone wants to make a purchase, they should calculate at least an additional 100-150 euros for accessories for their BBQ, and we're not even talking about Weber products, which are all extremely expensive anyway
Without experience as it is my first barbecue purchase, I am completely satisfied with the cooking quality, materials, and relatively easy cleaning. As for the price, the q2200 seems like a better choice compared to the spirit ll with two burners and a base with an additional 100-150€
Weber as a company is top-notch in its field and is considered the Rolls Royce of BBQ grills. I have had the Q 2200 for 3 1/2 years. I bought it on sale together with the base for under 400€. It is excellent in every aspect. It grills everything quickly and easily, fish, shrimp, steaks, mushrooms, ribs, and whatever else you crave, and all it needs is a 10-minute preheating. However, it has 2 disadvantages. Firstly, the plastic base with the legs opened after 2 1/2 years, but it was immediately replaced for free by the dealership, and I added non-slip feet to the new base to prevent it from slipping on marble and opening the plastic base. In the newer models, they redesigned the base and the problem was eliminated. The second disadvantage concerns the policy of the local dealership, which surprisingly does not import the rotisserie, which is excellent. So, I had to buy it online from abroad for 130€ + shipping. This rotisserie, for anyone interested in buying it, has the code 17561 and besides the rotisserie and the electric motor, the package also includes an aluminum add-on that goes between the lid and the grill, lifts the lid, and closes the grilling area all around. You can easily grill a spit, or a whole lamb, 2 large chickens at the same time, even a turkey! The chickens are cooked at 180 degrees, which is somewhere in the middle setting, for about 80-90 minutes, the lamb (thick) at the same temperature for about 2 hours and 15 minutes, and finally, the spit depends on the thickness, one and a half to two hours. The rotisserie rotates slowly with two and a half turns per minute. Cleaning the grill is an easy task. As for consumption, it is economical, and one 5-kilogram bottle of Coral from Shell comfortably lasts me about 3-4 months with frequent use.
After 4 years of use, I am completely satisfied with the grill. It is very practical for up to 6-8 people. The cast iron grill has excellent build quality. With proper preheating, it easily cooks chicken fillet without the use of oil and without sticking. Needless to say, fatty meats/minced meat do not stick at all with proper preheating. After each season, it is easily disassembled and cleaned without much effort.
I have only had it for a few days, but I have cooked almost everything to try it out. Simple construction but high quality. You can tell from the weight and sturdiness of the entire structure. The cast iron grates are also high quality, with no comparison in thickness and construction to other cheaper grills I have seen. The size is ideal for at least a family of 6. Extremely fast cooking: 10 minutes to preheat and then you can start grilling. It quickly reaches high temperatures and if you preheat it properly, nothing sticks to the grates. 12 minutes for burgers, 14-16 minutes for pork neck steaks, 15 minutes for chicken breast fillets, and 16 minutes for thigh fillets, 35-40 minutes for chicken thighs (open for grilling). Everything is juicy and evenly cooked. Note that the times refer to well-cooked meat. 10-12 minutes for sea bream and sea bass. About 12 minutes for peppers and mushroom skewers. I also tried pizza and it turned out excellent, 4 minutes of cooking on each side. It is easy and quick to clean, I gently clean it with a wire brush and a simple sponge. The fact that it doesn't smoke is very positive, but the smell only comes from the grilled food. Also, I didn't have any flare-ups.
The downsides are that the grilled food doesn't have exactly the same taste as charcoal, which is expected, but it is still delicious and clearly healthier. Also, I wouldn't say it can be easily transported for camping, etc. due to its weight. I got it on sale from a large electronics store for €390. I think it is quite expensive, but considering its quality and relatively frequent use, it is worth it. Keep in mind that you can also cook in pans, in much shorter times compared to an oven and charcoal.
27/04/2020 Now we have been using it for 6 months. The grill is truly excellent. We have used it to grill calamari, homemade pita bread with various fillings, and even fasting dishes for Lent, as well as vegetable and seafood patties. Lamb chops for Easter. We also grill various dishes in pans, like pastitsio. Homemade cheese bread and cheese pies were cooked in a cast iron pan used as a baking dish, all with homemade dough. However, it is necessary to use the "indirect" grilling method. Also, homemade pancakes and omelettes were cooked in the cast iron pan. Obviously, it does not replace an electric oven, but practically you can make almost everything on the grill. The main advantages are the ease, speed, and the fact that everything comes out juicy.
Regarding the indirect grilling method: the cheap solution we use is with a double layer of aluminum foil with holes (or buy the relevant Weber discs), placing a grill with small legs on top of the foil (or buy the Weber grill), and placing the dish on top of the grill so it doesn't stick from below. However, the entire surface of the grates should not be covered! Watch videos on YouTube for the method. I found some good videos on the city escape griller channel. There, they show how to grill pizza directly on the grates. The American Weber website also has relevant instructions and recipes.
With this method, you can also grill large pieces of meat that require a long time. Also, adjust the intensity to low to medium.
In the initial uses, the grill reaches slightly higher temperatures, so 210°C on low is relatively justified. It stabilizes over time.
Regarding meats, temperatures are not consistent. Depending on the thickness, type, and desired level of doneness, the intensity should be adjusted. For steaks, chicken fillets, whole fish, and burgers, I personally recommend medium or medium-high. Similarly, the number of times you flip the grilled items should also be adjusted. For whole, open-grilled chicken, I suggest medium intensity and frequent flipping.
Lastly, I would not recommend cleaning the grates with soap. I did it once and ended up with the grilled items sticking, fortunately only for 5-6 grilling sessions. A gentle cleaning with a suitable wire brush when the grates are well-burnt, followed by a light oiling, works perfectly for me. To prevent anything from sticking to the grates, they must be preheated very well, and personally, I spread a little oil using a paper towel or brush. But very little! I hope I helped.
After 3 years of use, I can say that it is the best there is! Exceptionally high-quality construction, truly built to last a lifetime! Very important that it is very easy to clean and maintain. The grilling is even and does not flare up. One tip I would recommend is to use an adjustable pressure regulator for a more powerful grilling. Finally, the surface is very satisfactory for a group of 6 people.
After 7 years of use, excellent BBQ in everything!!
One of the most basic things in a BBQ is to clean very easily, to cook evenly, and not to flare up with fat.
The only negative thing after a few years, if you get the extra lifting base with the 4 legs that looks like a spider, the rubber pads on the legs wear out, causing them to start slipping on the marble and eventually the base cracks. I realized it early on, I put new pads and everything is fine!!
I got it at a very good price with the base, in this price range there are indeed many options.
Tip. Turn the plates upside down, burn for 20 minutes and then clean the charcoal/fat with a wire brush.
After 1.5 years that I have it, it is worth every last euro it cost.
