The book includes a variety of creative interdisciplinary activities about the Mediterranean diet. The development of the activities is based on the principles of the Project method and experiential communicative teaching.

More specifically, work plans are presented for three products of the earth:
- the grape
- the olive
- the flour.

The work plans constitute a proposal that each kindergarten teacher can adapt and modify to meet the needs and interests of the children.

Specifically, in each unit-work plan, a conceptual chart - histogram is provided, and the aim is to connect the children with:
- the natural and human-made environment
- language (oral expression, reading, writing)
- mathematics
- creation - expression (music, theater, visual arts, physical education)
- information technology

At the end of the work plans, there are worksheets for mathematics, writing, and reading.
