What course did the conception of "health", "disease", "healing" follow in the Greek space, from the time of Homer to Hippocrates? From the first lines of this book, the reader is assured that it is an extremely interesting course, and the author of the book undertakes to prove this assurance with a systematic monitoring of ancient literary sources, as well as the use of archaeological and other illustrative material. Thus, the reader has the opportunity to first observe a purely theocratic conception of these three concepts, in order to then enjoy - by observing the first manifestations of philosophical thought - the fascinating transition from the theocratic to the philosophical conception. The transition to a "more scientific" conception of the three concepts was marked in the history of the medical art by the name of the physician Hippocrates from Kos, the "father," as this art was called. The book concludes with the presentation of characteristic sections from the most important works that have reached us under the name of Hippocrates.
