I bought the kettle just a month ago and my review is based on this period of time, so pay attention! Its construction is very sturdy, its base is very stable, and the jug is fully transparent. Although it doesn't look (due to the lack of a metallic casing) thermos-like, it still maintains the water temperature more than one would expect. It has a very good lid and all its plastics are well-made and, most importantly, odorless, giving no sense of cheapness that we find in almost all kettles. It has a thermostat on the handle with 5 different temperature settings that correspond to five different illuminations emitted by the device (since it is fully transparent). Of course, there is also an automatic shut-off - with a corresponding sound signal - when the temperature reaches the thermostat level. The capacity is, for the use I make of it, very large - 1.8 liters. I'm trying to find something, anything, negative and I can't! The only pending issue is the reliability which - due to the short period of ownership - cannot be estimated. I will come back to complete the review when necessary. For now: excellent 10!
UPDATE: I have been using the kettle extensively for over 3 years without any problems. My rating should have been 10 stars. Truly an incredible product!
