This book analyzes why and how humanity, following the paths of overconsumption and overpopulation, is led to destruction. The planet's resources are being depleted and soon the rate of global production growth will be lower than the population growth rate. The result will be a decrease in per capita output. This is predicted to happen in 2037. Data analysis indicates that the global population, currently at 7.5 billion, needs to be reduced to approximately three billion. With the population stabilized at this size, present and future generations can enjoy a satisfactory standard of living and the natural wealth of the planet can remain untouched. In this way, a state of economic equilibrium with prosperity without growth can be achieved. To reduce and stabilize the population at the desired level, the author proposes a global system of trading procreation rights.
