This book was written in such a way that it functions both parallel and complementary to the school textbook of Home Economics B' Gymnasium. Its objectives include, among others, methodical support of the study of the subject through the creation of appropriate supporting questions ("Studying with Questions") and providing children with the opportunity for self-assessment through the use of original closed and open-ended questions ("Checking What I Learned").

More specifically, each lesson in this book is structured according to the following format:
· Learning the main points (a short text with the important elements of the lesson).
· Studying with questions (developing the lesson through open-ended questions, so that students acquire a knowledge background and have the opportunity for encoded repetition of important points during their study).
· Checking what I learned (original closed and open-ended questions for a more comprehensive consolidation of the lesson).

At the end of each unit, there is:
· Informative material, so that the child can broaden their horizons, titled "Enriching my knowledge".
· Review test.

In addition, the book includes:
· Answers for the "Checking What I Learned" section of each lesson in this book.
· Answers for the Review tests of each unit.
· Answers and hints for the questions in the school Workbook, as well as the exercises in the Laboratory Guide.
