components needed by the breastfeeding mother and the infant in the
appropriate amounts (according to the latest International
Guidelines).

Iofolen Lactancia is suitable for all breastfeeding women, whether exclusively or supplementarily (in conjunction with cow's milk products and solid foods) and for as long as breastfeeding lasts.

Main ingredients:

  • Omega-3 fatty acids (DHA) and iodine, for achieving the ideal development of the brain and cognitive functions. The Omega-3 fatty acids (DHA & EPA) in Iofolen Lactancia reduce the risk of postpartum depression (DHA) and have a cardioprotective effect (EPA) on the mother.
  • Taurine, which is very important for the development of infants' nerve cells and the subsequent learning ability of children. Taurine, along with Omega-3 (DHA), also affects the retina, resulting in the improvement and protection of infants' visual acuity. In infants, the lack of taurine in the diet is associated with reduced digestion and absorption of lipids.
  • Vitamin A, which has a beneficial effect on the immune system and the perception of light by the eyes. The intake of Iofolen Lactancia by the breastfeeding mother will benefit the infant by providing an adequate amount of vitamin A.
  • Vitamin E, which in combination with Vitamin C in breastfeeding mothers results in the enhancement of breast milk with antioxidant substances.
  • Calcium, which ensures the maintenance of the mother's bone health, as during breastfeeding calcium moves from the mother's bones to breast milk to meet the newborn's needs.
  • Vitamin D, which contributes to the absorption of calcium from the bones and is naturally produced by the human body when sunlight comes into contact with the skin. However, infants and breastfeeding mothers are minimally exposed to the sun, and breast milk is relatively low in vitamin D, necessitating the supplementation of appropriate amounts of vitamin D in the mother's diet. Iofolen Lactancia contains sufficient vitamin D for the breastfeeding mother and her baby and helps maintain the mother's bone mass and the proper skeletal development of the infant.
