Purchased 2 years ago and used for 5 months every year, so I have been using this specific blanket for over 10 months.
POSITIVES
- Very good construction quality. It is completely waterproof, so raindrops do not get absorbed by the blanket and can easily be shaken off. The seams and straps are very good, as they attach to the scooter and keep the blanket in place.
- Easy installation. You screw it onto the scooter with 6 screws. Basically, where the plastics are screwed, you simply remove the screws and attach the strap, which already has a hole, and screw it on top. There are also 2 straps that attach underneath the scooter, on a sturdy iron base. The last part may be a bit tricky, but overall, installation should not take more than 10 minutes.
- Quality fur. It is called a blanket because it actually has a type of blanket underneath. Essentially, it is a fur that covers the hips and the entire thigh when seated, so you don't feel cold in that specific area.
- Easy to clean. After each winter, I put it in a basin with warm water and detergent for 1 hour, then hang it to dry. Generally, I noticed that it does not retain odors.
- Extra protection. In case you want to be more protected from the rain, there is a section of the blanket that, through a small hook attached behind the rider's neck, covers the chest and abdominal area. And the good thing is that it is very easy to attach.
- Stability. Even at high speeds of 100 to 120 km/h, the blanket does not move. It has two small tubes on the sides, which you inflate twice each, slightly inflating the side parts, so the blanket does not shake at such speeds.
- Seat protection. When you park the scooter, you can cover the entire seat with the blanket's cover. Inside the section that covers the chest and abdominal area, there is an extra waterproof cover that covers the entire seat, keeping it dry even in heavy rain, and it can be secured with another strap inside the seat, which of course locks.
NEGATIVES
There is one negative aspect, and for this reason, it does not receive 5 stars from me. In this specific scooter, because it has protruding plastics on the sides, when you place the blanket, you notice that these plastics create a small gap, no matter how tightly you fasten it with the straps. As a result, after 60 km/h, you feel air coming in from there and a significant amount of warmth is lost. I will try to find a way to prevent this from happening and I will update my evaluation.
