The issue of "national currency" has been looming in Greek society in recent years like a "phantom".

The ruling elites in Greece and the Eurozone "exorcise" any substantive discussion about the "national currency", insisting, for reasons of interest, on staying in the "Eurozone-euro" at all costs, through the implementation of successive Memoranda, impoverishing and oppressing the Greek people.

In this edition, answers are given in a popularized manner to critical questions that haunt every citizen, every worker, every professional, scientist, farmer, every young man and woman, about the role of the "national currency". Through the thematic units, the advantages of the national currency are revealed in relation to the "single currency-euro", not only in economic terms, but above all in terms of national and popular sovereignty.

From this perspective, the book has originality and fills an important gap in Greek literature. However, although the transition to the "national currency" is the "necessary" prerequisite, it is not "sufficient" on its own to ensure an alternative popular policy for exiting the crisis. It requires simultaneously the implementation of a package of radical measures and a government determined to implement them, with the active support of the Greek people.
