Description

These texts cover the period from 1946, from the beginning of Nana Valaoritis' critical writing and practice, which unfolded in three languages, until the beginning of the 21st century. They represent the evolution of this writing in different periods and often accompany corresponding movements in other countries, but applied to Greek standards.

The first part concerns theoretical texts, while the second personal critiques. These two parts together constitute the phases that both poetry and prose went through - from modernism to surrealism and the Beats, to linguocentrism, and finally to the detachment from all movements and trends, in order to reach its current unique writing, where it combines form with everyday language, and events with the reactions of the poem itself that guides its hand, just as it happens in its drawings. The various theories about subjectivity, the anxiety of the influence of the past and the future, the structural analysis of the texts, as well as the emergence of textual writing (prose with rhythms of poetry), all contribute to the flow of thought of the twentieth century inherited by the twenty-first, often in a mixed manner, without classification. The articles contained in this third volume of the series "Towards a Theory of Writing" hope to clarify certain points, while also restoring their connections with each other.
