General features
Camping tent tunnel by MFH in khaki color, suitable for your excursions into nature. It has a 1200mm degree of waterproofing and can withstand a simple rain, making it ideal for use in spring, summer, and autumn, but not for winter. It has a double layer for better ventilation and to prevent the formation of condensation.
Double layer
The tent contains 2 separate layers, which are placed one over the other on the roof or the top part of it. Usually, the first layer has waterproofing, while the second is a layer that allows the passage of air and offers better ventilation in the tent.
What does the waterproof rating on camping tents indicate?
Waterproofing in a tent shows us how much water the outer fabric can repel. It is measured in millimeters (mm) and refers to how many millimeters of a vertical column of water (and therefore pressure) a square centimeter of fabric can withstand without being penetrated by water. The higher the waterproof rating, the less breathable the fabric is, and therefore the warmer the tent. Common waterproof ratings range from 500mm to 10000mm. Theoretically, any fabric with a waterproof rating >1000mm is considered waterproof. For example, a summer tent may have a waterproof rating from 500 to 1500mm.
