  Amateur. First purchase and first attempt, on a plot of land in the village around the house with an area of at least 4 acres. With two trimmers 50m. +25m. My tool seemed truly powerful, cutting dry grass, green but also woody shrubs. It mowed with ease. It didn't overheat maybe because I made numerous breaks to fix the cable to avoid accidents. Although it took me about 20 hours cumulatively, divided into 4 days working in the morning and afternoon, the suspension strap tires and falls short here. I will need to find another support solution. Also, my left hand's palm and fingers got numb pressing the start button and the safety. It would be extremely useful to have a locking function. Next year, better prepared, I hope to do better. Wise advice on using the incomparably more economical Oregon trimmer line 3.5 mm. The machine truly deserves it. I will try in the autumn to cut the branches on the olive trees, but I need to find a cutting disc. The blade of the mower doesn't fit, it must have a lot of vibrations

  The machine is value for money. Very easy to assemble, very lightweight and the trimmer line changes very easily. Buy a 3.5 20-30 meter one and cut it into pieces of 39-40 centimeters. In the middle, wrap thick insulation tape so that you can place it with a little difficulty and squeeze it enough inside, otherwise it will break. Have a large spool of trimmer line and you're ready.

  Very powerful and effective, I don't have experience with petrol-powered ones but I compare it to an older electric trimmer from another company that I had, cheaper though. The comparison is like day and night. I cleaned a neighboring plot of 300 square meters with thick grass that hadn't been cleared for 2 years using mainly the blade in less than an hour, as well as my own plot very easily with the trimmer. The strap helps a lot to work comfortably and with the adjustments on the handles, you can customize it to your liking. The original trimmer lines are very expensive, though. At least in the initial packaging, there are 3 pairs that will definitely last me the season. There are also videos with tips on YouTube, but I'm not sure if I will be able to make it work correctly and without any issues without burning it in the end.

  I use it at home in the village which has a large garden! I go once a year when it has turned into a jungle! Fortunately, I bought an electric tool and avoided cheap gasoline ones. Every year, along with a 30-meter trimmer line, I do the job effortlessly, without worrying about starts, fuel, and oils! It just works and that's it!

  Following the advice of the comments, I also bought a square trimmer line, of the same size, and the tool really transformed! Generally, I make sure to rest it every 10-15 minutes, although I don't think it would have a problem.

  I am not experienced, but its power seems fine to me. It digs the soil if you stick it down. The attachment is a bit awkward, but since they give it together, it's okay!

  Just kids, be careful not to cut the trimmer line! Work only forwards! Do not turn backwards! Good work is important, but it is more important to return safely to those who love you!

  Also, unwind the entire trimmer line from the spool to prevent it from coiling and overheating.

  Definitely wear protective glasses and always wear long sleeves because the power of the particles can cause burns and allergies, which will take 1-2 weeks to heal.

  First day of use and the impressions are very positive. Having done the heavy work, the large weeds, in previous months with a petrol trimmer, the smaller ones now were a piece of cake for the electric one. With very easy assembly, lighter, with less noise, but powerful and fast, it is definitely much more practical and easy to use than the petrol ones. You don't have to deal with oils, petrol, and the difficulty of starting them. The only negative is the ergonomics of the handle. Especially the trigger is too far back, causing the hand to slip and stop. It takes time to get used to it. But even the front handle, with the hand stretched, is very tiring for the elbow. The Bosch trimmer line is very good and practical, although only 3.5mm, it lasted me 1.5 hours of continuous use. It is of course very expensive: 30 euros for 10 pieces...

  First time using an electric one after years with gasoline-powered. Very powerful, both with the blades and the trimmer line. With a good quality trimmer line of 3mm, it easily cuts through tough weeds up to one and a half inches, while with the blades, I was able to cut woody shrubs up to four inches thick. It just needs sharpening after about two hours of work. It is lighter and less tiring for your hands and ears compared to medium-sized gasoline-powered ones. I didn't like the shoulder strap that comes with it, but with a modification, I attached the straps from an old gasoline-powered one. The most obvious downside is the cord. You need to be careful because you can cut it with the blades in a moment. For its price, quality, and for distances up to 15-20 meters from the power supply, it is very good.

  This electric hedge trimmer is a truly valuable purchase at 145 euros. It is very easy to assemble (there are many videos on YouTube, such as this one at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1toyt9niQa0), it starts with the push of a safety button, and it is powerful, reliable, and can cut branches up to 2 centimeters in diameter that surround my house. I even cut 3-meter tall reeds with the Bosch blade included in the package on a 10-square-meter area. I literally crushed everything in front of me effortlessly. Before buying it, I had seen a similar video on YouTube (link: https://youtu.be/8vMblHi2_zM) of an owner effortlessly cutting reeds with this electric hedge trimmer. I showed it to my friends, and they couldn't believe it. So, I decided to try it myself...

  I have been using it without any problems since last summer when I bought it, with dozens of hours of use, and it truly is a tool. Of course, due to the cord, you can only work in a relatively small area near a power source, so it is not suitable for fields and other areas without electricity...

  I also tried cutting small reeds, up to half a meter tall, with nylon trimmer line (for added safety because there were rocks). It handled them perfectly. After about an hour of use with the trimmer line, it got quite worn on these relatively small reeds and the reeds themselves - because I also cut some larger and woody reeds in between - so I had to replace it (which is very easy to do!).

  Since Bosch trimmer lines are very expensive (30 euros for 10 pieces), I did some research and ended up buying a roll of twisted nylon trimmer line, black, 37 meters long and 3.5 millimeters thick, which fits perfectly on the head of the Bosch hedge trimmer. I cut many pieces of trimmer line to the length of the original trimmer line and wrapped a small piece of insulating tape, about 7-8 centimeters long, exactly in the middle of each piece of trimmer line, just like it is on the original trimmer line (See here a relevant video on how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-89NVAxOBA). The cost of the roll was 13 euros, and it will last me for many uses of the trimmer line...

  Update1: The aftermarket Oregon trimmer line proves to be even more durable than the expensive Bosch trimmer lines.

  Update2: The 37-meter roll of trimmer line I bought can produce a total of 37m : 0.39m = approximately 94 pieces of trimmer line, each measuring 39 centimeters, which is the same length as the original trimmer line, so it doesn't get stuck in the plastic guard of the trimmer head. Imagine that I paid 13 euros for the roll, and it gives me 94 pieces, while the factory Bosch trimmer lines, as mentioned before, are not cost-effective, costing 30 euros for 10 pieces! In other words, with 30 euros, if you make the relative calculation, it turns out that with the purchase of an aftermarket 30-meter roll of trimmer line, you can have 94 * 30/13 = 216 pieces of trimmer line!!! Therefore, buying factory trimmer lines becomes extremely uneconomical once the 3 factory Bosch trimmer lines included in the package have been used up.

  Update3: I confirm the comment of another owner here who mentions that the position of the start and operation button of the hedge trimmer is awkward and tiring. Here I will add that this particular button is also quite hard to press, so essentially because it is held by hand while constantly pressing it, you eventually have to let go of it, which stops the trimmer. Despite wearing gloves, using it for hours in difficult areas with thick stems and vegetation caused an injury to my right hand, which I use to press the trigger.

  Excellent tool. I have had it for 3 years. I use it constantly and non-stop with a disc that I sharpen with a file every 2 hours of operation. The photos show the before and after in a rural garden. The only serious drawback is the inconvenient position of the start-stop button. If you add an additional button in front, the problem will be solved, but be careful not to lose the additional safety it provides for any accidents with the disc!

  My experience with it so far has been very small, as I have only used it for less than an hour and in a very small area of 60-70 square meters. However, the first impressions are very positive.

  It is very easy to assemble (practically, you don't even need the manual), it takes a maximum of five minutes to adjust the "dependency" (just a hanging belt of medium quality and comfort), and that's it. It plugs into the socket and works without any issues. Even the head with the twisted nylon string (I think it's 3.5mm) is already installed by the factory. I tried it on thick grass up to 1cm and compared to previous smaller/cheaper electric trimmers I have used, this one cuts effortlessly. Just a swipe and you see shaved soil instead of grass. The vibrations are close to zero and are not even noticeable.

  Although it is in the range of heavy electric trimmers (5+ kg) and does not have a regular double shoulder strap, it seems to be comfortable. The handle is long enough so that we don't have to worry about our legs or bending down. It has a hook on the back for the trimmer cord, so there is no risk of disconnection. Both the handles for the left hand (if we hold the "throttle" with the right hand) and the slot for the belt buckle can be easily adjusted along the length of the handle (without a screwdriver) until we find the position that suits us. How well they hold their position after hours/years of use is something that will become apparent over time, but in the short time I tried it, there was no issue.

  The straight plastic lever protruding from the handle is hollow and has two pieces of twisted nylon string inside, but it can easily accommodate 1-2 Allen wrenches if needed (for example, if we replace the plastic Bosch head with an aluminum one).

  I didn't notice any increase in motor temperature, but I didn't use it extensively and since I was cutting less continuously and testing it more, it didn't have any issues with heating up. However, it surprised me that when I finished and started cleaning it from the grass (with a brush with plastic bristles), the corner was still hot even a quarter after the end of operation.

  The package includes a tripod disc with its metal support, the classic 20mm wrench, the screwdriver for attaching the disc (or heads from other manufacturers), and a small metal rod to hold the head in place if we want to remove it.

  I performed the tests with the nylon head (which has the typical high cost issues due to Bosch's patents), but later I replaced it with a new Tecomec Whips, the red one that is aluminum on top and plastic on the bottom. I didn't try cutting with it, but just by plugging it in for 5-10 seconds, I noticed quite a few vibrations, while with the nylon head, the vibrations were literally zero. Maybe a wheel wasn't properly attached or the lengths of the nylon string were not distributed correctly, so I will try it again. This particular head can hold up to 8 nylon strings (i.e. 4 pieces folded in half), but it might put too much strain on the Bosch, so I will probably leave it with two doubles to see how it goes.

  The three-year warranty is definitely a plus, which shows that Bosch is quite confident in its product.

  One last thing: definitely wear an apron and gloves! Compared to other smaller electric trimmers I tried in the same exact areas two days ago (which simply dirtied me around ankle height), this one really cuts fresh grass everywhere. The entire work pants and left hand from shoulder to fingertips turned green. So, it's imperative to wear an apron, gloves, possibly long sleeves if you can handle the heat, and of course a face shield for your face so you don't chew on grass.

  I will come back with new impressions after a few hours of use.

  Update after 3 hours of total use: I have nothing else to add, the tool really mows. I liked that an experienced local professional told me yesterday that the green grass he saw was thick and could not be cut by an electric trimmer. I passed by this morning and mowed everything in ten minutes. The Bosch doesn't notice anything.

  The apron remains completely necessary, although the best way to avoid grass is to mow from left to right. In the opposite direction, it throws a lot of stuff back because the protective cover above the corner is smaller than necessary. As for temperatures, etc., it doesn't seem to have any issues so far. Today, under direct sunlight and temperatures above 30 degrees, there were times when the machine worked continuously for over 20 minutes, but it didn't "complain" about anything. It's good to take more frequent short breaks to help it, even just to tidy up the cable.

  If I have one observation, it's about the harness, which doesn't seem to be particularly convenient. With a lighter trimmer, it might not be a problem, but at 5+ kilograms of the Bosch, it becomes tiring after 1 hour of continuous use.

  Update 2: On the next day, I mowed for a total of over 2 hours in sun and heat, and the Bosch didn't notice anything. I would stop every 10-15 minutes to move cables and cords, but the pause was only for seconds. It mowed everything, even when the head got clogged with grass (I cleaned it all when I finished). I tried it with the harness provided by Nakayama in the Pro series of petrol-powered trimmers, and it was more convenient compared to the cumbersome shoulder harness. Also, the cumbersome twisted nylon string is still holding up after almost 6 hours of total use. It has worn about 1/3 on each side, but I haven't replaced it yet.

  Update 3 (hopefully the last): I tried it with the cumbersome head and nylon string in relatively difficult conditions (very tall green grass almost one and a half meters high with a trunk diameter over 1cm, as well as dried woody branches of similar diameter). It got a little worn out, cut the nylon string twice in half an hour for the first time, but at the same time, it satisfactorily cut everything, so no complaints. Then I put on (without any modification) a 4mm round nylon string from Oregon with a carbon fiber core, and it mowed everything. The only downside is that it took me a little longer because I only put on a 35cm string, but in practice, it needs a little over 40cm (I believe it comfortably takes up to 42cm). It doesn't have a blade on the guard, so we have to find the ideal length of the nylon string ourselves. The next step is to try it on dense vegetation with the tri-blade disc. Overall, I am super satisfied so far, as my garden is a large area that requires regular cleaning every 2 weeks or more frequently during the summer, so in practice, the Bosch needs to work locally every 3-4 days for me to keep up with the grass, and for such frequent use, it is infinitely more convenient than similar gasoline-powered ones. Just before buying the Bosch, I purchased a large gasoline-powered one, but I didn't even have to bother operating it. With the Bosch, you just pull a little cord and in 2 minutes you are ready to start mowing.

  Excellent for amateur work in a 700 sqm garden. Very powerful with the trimmer line. It handled very thick grass and bushes (woody shoots of 2 centimeters) with a height of 70-80 centimeters.
  Of course, it doesn't have the power of a good expensive petrol-powered one, but it has the convenience of an electric one, which is very important for me (instant start, basic maintenance and cleaning).
  For cleaning in a yard or a plot next to the house where there is access to electricity, with a trimmer line, it should be the first choice, nothing else is needed. If you want to clean larger areas in the village, it is not suitable, of course.
  Durability over time and resistance to damage will be proven in the future (hopefully in the name of Bosch).
  Official Bosch trimmer line replacements are very expensive, but you don't need them. You can cut the same length of trimmer line from the market (a coil) and do your job, no need for any patent.
  If it withstands the test of time, Bosch has solved the issue of a grass trimmer for amateur work in urban and suburban areas.

  I will elaborate a bit. First of all, if you have a garden larger than 300 square meters and you are a first-time buyer of an electric lawnmower, remove from your mind any thought of a rechargeable one, which lacks power (unless you go for the 300 euros ones) and is quite heavy. I present a brief list of positives and negatives of an electric mower with a cord compared to a petrol one:

  POSITIVES
  1. Lighter
  2. Less noisy
  3. Easy to start
  4. Minimal maintenance requirements
  5. Very economical to use

  NEGATIVES
  1. Lower power (only 1000W and above can come close to the performance of weaker petrol mowers)
  2. Can only be used if there is a 220V socket
  3. Constantly dragging a cable behind you

  MY GARDEN:
  800 square meters with fruit trees, very lively. I clean it 3-4 times a year. The cherry tree is 40 meters away from the socket, and to reach it, I need 3 pieces of extension cord, 4 hours, two Greek coffees, and 6 cigarettes (but there's a problem here because I don't smoke).

  MY (SINFUL) PAST:
  I started 11 years ago with a small two-stroke petrol mower, then I got a Chinese 1200W one (powerful but with poor quality peripherals), and then I got a KRAFT 1400W (decent. I added a very useful 4-way head. It didn't have time to break because it got stolen). For the past two years, I have had the BOSCH 23-37.

  MY OPINION:
  Although the BOSCH 23-37 is not the most powerful, it has satisfactory build quality and an incredible ease of changing the extension cord WITHOUT ANY PATENT!!! I bought a square OREGON spool with 3.5mm extension cord, cut it into pieces of 42cm length, and I managed. Every time, of course, I replace the extension cord, I essentially waste half of its length. But it's worth it.
  Finally, I recommend always wearing at least boots and protective glasses. When changing the extension cord, disconnect the power cable for half a minute, just in case. Lastly, I think it's worth combining it with a better attachment.

  So I have a field with stones and other objects where I can't use a disc for safety reasons (in case a stone jumps and we have to run for stitches). A cheap tool that I had bought for 50 euros due to the thickness of the weeds I had, would heat up every five minutes and couldn't get the job done. After reading the other reviews here, I decided to get this tool and guys, it's amazing. I cleaned the field and only stopped when I got tired, the motor didn't even notice anything even though, as I explained before, I was cutting wild grass with a nylon string for safety reasons, which means I was really pushing the machine. The only downside is the expensive nylon strings that Bosch sells (two euros per string). Okay, forget about them, watch the video on YouTube and with 10 euros, a 3.5mm bolt and a bit of insulation, you can do the job!

The only drawback compared to gasoline trimmers is that you can't control the speed with the throttle, meaning it will either work at maximum or not at all.   I just received it and I also did a test job... it looks very high quality, it is quite powerful, I don't think it has anything to envy from gasoline ones in this aspect... there are cheaper options but I was afraid and went for Bosch for the best possible quality and the 3-year warranty... maybe the handles and the power switch could have been more convenient or at least I haven't found the ideal ones yet... it has a lot of power, it would be good to have goggles or a mask during use because especially in low passes it scatters whatever it finds... in terms of temperatures, I think they are normal with some breaks, I used it for 10-15 minutes and didn't see any overheating or malfunction...

  maybe a bit expensive but you get what you pay for... I will also try the disc and I will come back with feedback
