It does a good job, I bought it as an extension for the front awning of my caravan, it withstands the wind and provides good shade. It requires caution in the rain, as I forgot to close it during a heavy storm and it opened up like a carnation due to the weight of the water. I will order it again! I would like it to have additional fasteners along the center
