Tested on a 1800cc car when the battery died, it really saved me. When I used the Noco GB40, not a single one of the 4 charging status lights turned off!
Update *** 26/07/2020
Tested on an Opel Insignia 1.6T that had a dead battery. The starter had been abandoned for 4 months (without recharging it, it was fully charged), and I managed to start the car directly without any difficulty, and without any of the charging status lights on the starter turning off.
Used in a 1600cc diesel, it started right away, for larger batteries and engines it also has boost. The battery needs about 3 hours of charging and drops very slowly, with two more starts still on the green light. It has very good build quality.
One of the best products I have purchased. What really impresses is that it doesn't need three hours of charging, one year without charging and it works perfectly. Porsche 3200 cc with ease and not only. I bought 2 more pieces as gifts for friends and they are still grateful. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
As a machine, it's okay, powerful!! But its price, yes it's okay, but it's like a stock market, it changes every day from 127€ to 121€ to 133€ to 127€ again. And I'm not referring to the lowest price on Scroutz, but to specific stores
Rarely do I write reviews, but for this tool I must..
I have had it for over two years and it still works perfectly.
HONDA VFR 800 MOTORCYCLE PETROL easily..
Opel Astra 1600 petrol.. easily
Mercedes Vito 2200 diesel as well
Mercedes Sprinter diesel, even this one.
However, it must be connected directly to the battery terminals to avoid any losses.
So far, it seems to work satisfactorily with a 1800cc car and a 60Ah battery. The device appears to be made of sturdy plastic and the terminals have a satisfactory size. 3 stars because it is expensive, does not support battery replacement maintenance (which means that in about 5 years it will be thrown away when the battery wears out), does not include a charger (includes a car adapter), and the charging port is micro USB and not the modern USB-C or some other durable connector (again, there will be an issue when the connector wears out from the hooks of the micro USB)
Bought, charged, and left in the trunk. After a year and a half, the charge dropped to 75% and easily jump-started a completely dead BMW 320i battery with the boost. After two starts (because the engine didn't stay on long enough to charge on the first try), the charge is still at 50%.
You wake up on a freezing morning to go to work and the engine won't start. Without panicking, you connect the Noco GB40 starter and it starts on the first try. I experienced this a few days ago. It is definitely worth its price. It has become an essential tool for my vehicle and I always have it with me. I also charged my phone when it ran out of battery and I needed to get out of the car. (using it as a power bank).
At first glance, you understand that you are dealing with a very sturdy construction and well-designed... The package includes the starter, the electrodes, a USB cable, a power adapter for the car's "lighter," and a pouch-type case... I also bought the storage case, which I find a bit bulky, but it is made of very good materials and definitely protects it better from impacts, moisture, etc... I haven't tried it yet... hopefully, it won't be necessary... but I believe it is essential equipment for an emergency situation if you are, for example, in the mountains or if you don't have a signal on the road, and in general, my philosophy is better to be prepared than to wait for help from elsewhere... In the past week, I saw three fellow citizens on the road with dead batteries, and almost no one willing to try to help them. Roadside assistance was very delayed in some cases... So, I made the decision to have it permanently in my car... I chose the model with 1000A since my battery is 80A 800mah start stop AGM... I hope it proves worthy of expectations in a difficult moment... I will provide an update when and if I use it...
It worked only once. The first time. The next three times it failed to start the vehicle (different vehicle each time and within its supposed capabilities).
The most useful tool I have in my car. Very small, it fits even in a motorcycle compartment, it easily gives you 10 - 15 starts before needing to be charged again with a regular USB charger.
Waste of money, it only works for a scooter with a battery made of agricultural diesel 2400, it doesn't start at all, as soon as you press the starter, it immediately drains, the 120 euros I spent were wasted.
I do not have this machine because I pay for roadside assistance for it, but the kids had it when I called them and they took the car, boom, Nissan Qashqai. Take it, kids
Amazing machine. The battery was completely drained and it started right up... I thought I would have to use the safety bypass option, but it wasn't necessary. Worth every penny... And it's useful (if not necessary), and it works perfectly...
The car is 2000 cc, and after a while, he put it in front for fun, watch the video below, I always have it with me and on the motorcycle due to its small size, anything else you get for me is not worth it, it is the best, today I have put in front more than 10 times fallen batteries. I have had it for about 3 years! YT https://youtu.be/KMSskCVPiYw
I bought it for my 2005 VW Polo, which is rarely driven, resulting in the battery draining. I saw the guys from roadside assistance who came twice to jump-start it using something like this. It's definitely worth its money. It starts immediately. The last time, it didn't recognize the battery, but with the bypass button, it started in seconds. I bought it in January, I've used it about six times, and the battery has only dropped one bar.
A product seems worth it from its packaging and industrial design. Even the cables/connectors were of excellent quality. I started a 3,000 cc car with a fully discharged battery on the first try. Unfortunately, I do need to replace the car battery... However, the product did exactly what it was supposed to do. I recommend it.
I started a small car with a completely dead battery without any problem, and I also started a diesel truck with a 100-amp battery quite easily and without any difficulty
I bought it with reservations that it wouldn't work, but it has completely proved me wrong. I have used it three times so far and it hasn't let me down anywhere. And all three times, I didn't even need to try a second time.
It's somewhat expensive, okay, but many times cheap things end up being more expensive for us or they sell them to us when we need them.
For me, it's a very good purchase that will eventually get you out of a difficult situation
I used it 3 times in a few days with the cold. Fully charge it before the first use. After three more starts, it still appears fully charged. Read the instructions carefully. Great convenience compared to cables. Worth the purchase. Choose the appropriate model for your needs.
1st use (as a starter) after 3 years, on a gasoline-powered car with a 70Ah battery (start/stop). Immediate response and the charge indicator didn't even budge.
Impressive starter. Simple, powerful, and convenient in difficult moments. It easily handles regular passenger cars. You put it in front and you're off in an instant. It definitely deserves the relatively higher cost, as it hasn't let me down so far.
Sturdy construction. Made in China... of course, USA designed. Charges with micro USB and includes a 2.1Ah car charger and charging cable. The alligator clips have a strong spring and good material, especially at the contact points, with 8AWG cables. The carrying pouch is simple but not convenient. The flashlight is quite powerful. I was impressed with the delivery, it was charged at 50% and easily started a long-abandoned Fiesta 1.6, not even the lights turned on.
