The scent didn't impress me, but it's decent for its price because it lasts for months of daily shaving.
Very nice soap. Definitely for the price it is sold, it is certainly the best. Compared to the equivalent Arko, Splendid (here we laugh) and the rest of the competition, it is certainly the best. It comes in a neat package, which helps a lot in creating lather and has a classic, Italian scent, which on my nose seems vintage. It has good slipperiness and relatively decent protection. For everyday use, it has become my favorite.
As far as I can remember, I have been shaving traditionally with shaving brushes and green soaps, I have many expensive artisan soaps in my possession... But for the price that this one is, I have no words... It may be chemistry as it sounds, but the end result is excellent...
Nice result and worth its money but my problem is that the foam dries faster
It needs water to get going, so don't feel sorry for it. It does its job very well. For its cost, it is one of the most affordable soaps.
I just started the "sport"! Whenever I wanted a fully economical option, just to see if I ultimately like the whole process on a daily basis (stubborn! So from shaving... nothing else!)
I discovered that it ultimately requires a little more soap and patience than one would expect, to achieve the same texture as a shaving cream (In the end, it's even better than foam!)
The packaging alone saves you from buying an extra container for foam creation! Since it is a ready-made cup on its own!
The scent is not something otherworldly! However, it is basic / all-time classic, which will surely awaken memories for those who saw your older relatives shaving with potatoes and brushes.
So, for a first product, for a complete beginner, it is ideal from every perspective! (I made the same choice for the brush! The simplest option for testing!)
All Proraso products have a very good performance relative to their cost (VFM). Therefore, I consider them excellent for everyday shaving as well as for someone who wants to start getting involved in traditional shaving! For my own preferences, this (red) line has the nicest scent!
It's worth its money, but it's annoying that the foam dries quickly. Maybe it's worth 4 stars, but even this downside is significant for me.

The only soap worth it from the series is the green one with eucalyptus. The red and white ones are completely indifferent!

Average yes bad no. I wouldn't say it has the promised scent. Soft but indifferent in terms of shaving. I didn't have any irritations. I won't buy it again because it's indifferent, not for any other reason.

Let me write as well, even though I am 48 years old and new to PX. Yesterday I received the little soap, I would call it a cream. It is the first product from Prokopis that I buy, it is fine, in my opinion it needs a few turns as it easily foams and lifts a lot of water. I liked it for the price it has, it's okay, much better than products that are available in supermarkets, some creams, let's not name them. I am looking forward to trying it and better. Stay healthy!
It took me 3 months and a lot of thought to evaluate and write something about this soap, and I will try to be concise and objective.
The first contact with the soap is love.
An aroma with thousands of emotions.
After the first shave, you will easily look for it as an air freshener for your room, office, car, etc.
The choice of fragrance is always subjective, but between us, it is also a very important criterion for purchasing shaving products.
Easy, dense, quick, and shiny lather, with a boar brush (omega 80067) in its own bowl (a bit small, but okay).
Here comes the first (small) problem:
You will need to search a bit more for the water balance in the brush.
However, you will find good application with the brush and face lathering.
And somewhere there comes the second problem:
It dries very easily. I don't know if it's because of the bathroom heater, but within 2 minutes after application, it has dried and you can see it first around the lips (cracking).
In 3-4 minutes, if you haven't shaved and for some reason you move... Snowflakes everywhere... The dry soap will follow you with flakes wherever you go.
You can feel this drying during the shave, with many areas not gliding well.
Here comes the third and final problem:
It cannot be "reactivated" with a little water. It's not a tallow soap, but I expected it to do something with a few drops of water. Nothing, and it's a shame.
For the same reason, the final result after rinsing is dry and you feel a slight "pulling".
For the overall result, I would give it 3 stars, but:
The price and the enchanting aroma (which is subjective, as we said) ultimately gave it 4 stars.
It is soft, creates a good and rich lather. I expected the scent to be stronger, it is rather subtle. It dries quickly and does not provide great protection.
For its price, it is good, although I believe there are better soaps in the same price range.
Overall, it is decent, I will use it, but I will not repurchase it.
It is a shaving soap, meaning we are simply talking about understanding what we want from an affordable, high-quality soap with a wonderful scent that lasts a long time. This is the ideal soap, gentlemen, it does everything to protect against razor slips. If it wasn't called Proraso but Aqua di Parma, everyone would say it's the best. It's great value for money, I wouldn't change it for anything. Always the red Proraso.
Okay, it's soap but it's very good. Nice scent and thick foam with a long lifespan if you use it correctly (you need to make the foam in a separate container).

Rich and creamy foam with an amazing sandalwood scent. The feeling after shaving is fantastic. When combined with a stiff brush, it quickly creates foam and applies perfectly.
This particular one contains butter and is slightly greasy. If you want something less greasy, the one with eucalyptus and mint is also good.
The bowl is also made of good plastic and will hold at least as much as the content.
For budget shaving soaps, don't look any further.
Value for money, ideal for budget wetshaving and newcomers to the sport.
Its scent and slipperiness are worth every penny.
Probably the most representative sandalwood you will find in the European market.
Load it from the bowl onto the brush, with 20-30 turns, and then dipping the brush's tip into water, create the lather either in another small bowl or on the face (gradually adding 3-4 drops of water or dipping the brush's tip into water again) until it reaches the texture of strained yogurt, working the lather on the face.
It is my first soap and I have no experience. As a first time, I find its scent very good, classic, and I am thinking of buying it with a lavender scent. The foam is good and it glides smoothly and easily. For its price, it's great. I highly recommend it.

This soap smells wonderful. Its scent is masculine, manly, and at the same time, slightly sweet. Many times I have it on my desk, just to smell it!
Its packaging is made of good quality plastic. It closes well and securely. It opens relatively easily. Its color is dark red (also known as purple).
This specific product comes in a well-designed, second, cardboard box. When opened, it contains the soap in a second, plastic bowl.
The Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap has usage instructions in many languages. And of course, in English. But not in Greek.
I use the Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap with a cheap, relatively, boar bristle brush. The Omega 11574. My relevant review is available on skroutz.
Due to the natural hardness of boar bristle brushes, they are more suitable for hard shaving soaps. They melt shaving soaps faster and easier.
When I use shaving foam for tough beards from Noxzema, I use the synthetic brush: Omega Hi - Brush Fiber Black 0196712. My relevant review for this brush is available on skroutz.
The Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap leaves a greasiness after shaving. And rinsing it off is a bit of a hassle. For me, being brown-skinned and having very oily skin, this is a serious drawback.
The entire sink becomes a mess, dirty from the lathers of the Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap. It is simply unacceptable to have to clean the sink every time you shave. And to get your hands so dirty.
The process of applying and creating the soap is cumbersome and time-consuming. Additionally, I am forced to dirty my hands with lathers. Something I do not like at all.
While with Noxzema shaving foam for tough beards, I shave cleanly, quickly, with surgical precision in spreading the foam on my face. And I have an excellent shave.
Clearly, I would not buy the Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap again. It did not suit my oily face at all.
For me, the Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap is essentially a waste of money. Because I had the brilliant idea to buy 2 boxes of it. I ended up giving one to my sister. To take care of her legs. But she also found it greasy, as she told me.
The Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap is clearly an inferior product compared to Noxzema shaving foams. Buy Noxzema shaving foam and you will remember me. Your shave will be elevated!
The only thing worth mentioning about the Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap is its fragrance and its beautiful packaging. As for the essence of this soap, look elsewhere. Personally, I am very satisfied with shaving foams (as I mentioned before).
In short: Whoever recommended the Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap to me, got it wrong. Shaving foams again, from now on, for me.
I am done with shaving soaps. Shaving, for me, should not be rocket science. But something simple, quick, easy, and cheap.
Don't fall victim to internet advertisements. Like I did, watching videos on YouTube. Be careful and buy products that you know and trust. Tested and reliable.
In conclusion, I recommend Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap only to fans of traditional soap shaving. If you don't belong to that group and prefer more modern solutions, buy shaving foam or gel. It will be much cheaper and will do the job perfectly.

The soap is fine with a discreet pleasant scent. Nice foam that becomes creamy with a little work with the brush on the face. Personally, I consider it excessive for someone to spend more money on shaving soap unless they want to treat themselves occasionally and generally have a very expensive one in their cabinet, just for special occasions.
