It took ten whole years filled with violence and bloodshed, wild loves, passions, and hatred for the Greeks to defeat the Trojans. Now Odysseus must return with his men to Ithaca, where his faithful wife and son await him, whom he had left as a baby. But the journey back is a new adventure. Odysseus has to face the dark forces of nature, the unfathomable will of the gods, and cunning enemies, such as the Cyclops Polyphemus, the Lotus-Eaters, the witch Circe, the deadly Sirens with their enchanting song... The resourceful man, the daring Nobody, will reach the ends of the world, even to Hades, to end up on a mysterious island, where a charming goddess will keep him in her sweet embrace for many years. Finally, with a heart full of pain for his lost companions, he will manage to reach Ithaca, to taste the joy and also the revenge...
After "The Oath," where Manfredi narrates in a magical way the life of Odysseus from his birth until the end of the Trojan War, in "The Return" unfolds the most exciting journey of all time.

As valuable as the first book of the work The Oath is, this book is mediocre to bad. Until the murder of the suitors, whether you read this book or the Odyssey from the high school textbook, it's the same. It's as if the author ran out of inspiration and copied the Odyssey in his book. And the end of the book is simply the culmination of disappointment and connects Odysseus in a ridiculous way with another previous book by the author, the Prophecy. I wasted my money and wasted my time reading it for nothing.
