    I wonder how they allow such unreliable thermometers to circulate in the market! You have to leave it for 5 minutes to show something closer to the actual temperature. It goes without saying that the reading at 1 minute that the alarm hits is completely wrong.

    I have been using it for many years. It measures relatively quickly, however, compared to a mercury thermometer, I have noticed that it usually shows half a unit lower. So practically, I always have 0.4-0.5 degrees higher fever, meaning if it says 36.3, I have 36.8, etc. Overall, it is good, but it would be better to have something more reliable for comparison.

    I put the thermometer at 35.5. My wife puts it at 35.8. My sick baby puts it at 36.6. I try the old mercury thermometer. 36.5 for me, 36.6 for my wife, 37.1 for the little one. I think you understand where I'm going with this...
