...now that you're eighteen and starting the life you've always longed for, listen to a few things that I understood from my own life.
Some things I have told you before, most of them you will hear for the first time. They are not advice, I know, you're tired of them. Let's say they are a manual, like the ones you find in the box of your new phone.

Don't get angry, I know you can handle phones with your fingers, you don't need instructions. But the lives of adults, trust me, you don't know. Now that you're leaving home, changing track, just like back then with your electronic games. Your new track is difficult. You have to survive in it with dignity, otherwise you will live a life that is not worth it.

So keep this silly little book, it may be useful to you someday, who knows...
It is written with love, with guilt, with hopes, with fear for you, with trust in you. Because you are a good child and the society we deliver to you is relentless. Remember that the world around you is dirty, but there is always clean water to wash your face. Never stop looking for it...
