We are in springtime Paris! Suddenly, gunshots are heard in a gallery... A robbery - a murder - and the beginning of yet another epic, original Broken Sword adventure.
Play as the American George Stobbart and the sassy French journalist Nico Collard, as you track down a stolen painting - and a murderous conspiracy. A conspiracy whose roots lie in mysteries older than the written word...

This is one of the classic adventure series from the PS1 era that I always wanted to play, but now I had the opportunity as my girlfriend got it for me as a gift through skroutz. Generally, even though I am a calm person, when I sit down with the PS4, I start getting restless in no time. However, this particular game gave me an incredible sense of relaxation, as it has no action or time pressure, but only requires thinking and observation. You can take all the time you need to solve the puzzles. It is a 2.5D style with point-and-click mechanics and beautiful art direction, although the graphics are not mind-blowing. The sound design is well-done, with different accents, emotions, and humor. The puzzles so far are okay, some were solved easily while others were more challenging, but please, take your time and don't look at YouTube guides. I just finished Part 1 of the game and I will definitely finish it and maybe even go for the platinum trophy. It's something from a different retro era and completely different from the fast-paced games that have flooded the market in recent years. It was a good purchase and I highly recommend it to fans of the genre.
We had a lot of fun as a family playing the game, George is more sarcastic than ever and the lines are full of innuendos and references to previous episodes. This time there are more suspects and the action takes place in Scotland, Spain, and... of course Paris (ohhhhh Nicole). The puzzles are manageable with a little imagination, I rarely resorted to help from YouTube, mostly due to impatience. With historical flashes, it is also educational, I learned what domini canis and the Cathars are! The only negative is that I expected a slightly more adventurous and demanding finale.
