At first, it may seem like there are many rules and instructions, but once you play it 1-2 times, everything becomes clear and understandable. Personally, I play it with my son (7.5 years old) without any problems.
You can adjust the difficulty level (number of epidemics), and this makes it quite addictive, as in the 2 months that we have been playing it, we have managed to lose in at least two different ways. This shows that the game is very well-designed.
You should expect to spend at least 40 minutes for a 2-player game (a little more time with more players), as players will need to change tactics and strategy during the game.
Overall, very satisfied with the choice of this game. It is worth having it in your library if you like board games.

The game is dynamic, it immediately captivates you and immerses you in its world, trying to save the planet by finding the cure for four deadly diseases that plague it. You have to plan your moves for one or more rounds in advance in order to be prepared to do what is necessary because needless to say, it is much easier to lose than to win.
The game is lost when the players' card stack is empty, when the supply of a disease's markers runs out, when the outbreaks of epidemics reach eight, etc. You have much more chances to lose than to win this game.

The players are experts in fighting diseases, whose mission is to treat disease outbreaks while researching cures for each of the four diseases before they get out of control.
The game board depicts many major population centers on Earth. In each round, a player can take up to four actions to travel between cities, treat infected populations, discover a cure, or build a research station. Cards accelerate and intensify the activity of diseases. A second, separate deck controls the "normal" spread of infections.
Taking on a unique role within the team, players must plan their strategy to combine their powers in order to cure the diseases. For example, the Operations Expert can build research stations needed to find cures for diseases and allow greater mobility between cities. The Scientist only needs four cards of a specific disease to cure it instead of the usual five—but diseases spread quickly and time is running out. As for the kids above 9-10(?), I believe after the first familiarization game with the rules, they will easily grasp it. One irresistible aspect of this game is that it is COOPERATIVE. This means you will sit down with your little ones and strategize together on HOW to win and heroically save the world! Whether you like it or not, the more advanced competitive board games are not easily playable with younger children because it's difficult for them to win and they easily get disappointed. However, here you can all give your best and have fun without pretending, in a truly well-designed game with a theme and suspense. Easily 5 stars.
